One Year Pictures

Looking at my last several posts, it looks like this blog has turned into Reagan's Blog!  :)  She is just the only one will sit still for half a second so I can snap a picture these days!  I'm feeling the need to do something crafty soon, I just don't know what it will be.  Now that Reagan is walking, I cannot do one thing while she is awake.  If I take my eyes off of her, she will be pulling knives out of the dishwasher, throwing toys into the toilet, eating days old peas she finds or drinking the dish soap like it is a bottle of milk.  Not that any of those things have ever happened....  Haha!  So when she is napping, you can imagine I'm pretty busy cleaning up after the tornado.

The day after her birthday party we had her one year pictures taken and I think these might be my favorite pictures ever.  I want to frame every one!  Our wonderful photographer, Amber, did such a great job capturing her personality.  I'm already thinking of a time she can take Westin's pictures and maybe some family pictures.  Here are just a few of my favorites out of the 64 she gave us.  :)

Westin was having a ton of fun running around, throwing rocks and playing in the dirt, but he did cooperate for one picture.  :)

Smash Cake!

Her pretty smash cake was reduced to crumbs in about a minute flat.  She was hesitant at first but then stuck her face right in.  She sucked on the icing for a bit and then tore the cake apart.  She only took that one bite but you would never know it!  The pictures tell the story.

This is her "all done!!!" look!

We had such a fun time celebrating Reagan's first year of life and we are so thankful for our family and friends that helped us celebrate!

Birthday Party Fun

Reagan napped until her guests started arriving at 11am.  Oh!  So many people ask about this quilt on her chair.  It was from TJMaxx and I got it several years ago...maybe even before Westin was born. So I woke her up and put her party clothes on.  We snapped a few pictures before heading out to the living room.
(Her party didn't really have a theme but I did a very loose tea party "theme".  Basically she wore this dress, had the tea pot cookies and the rest of the party was done in these colors.)
She walked out of her room and peaked around the corner to see a house full of friends and family.

Our other child was too busy playing with his cousins to be bothered with a picture.
 She found the balloons!
After her cake and bath, (smash cake pics in another post-there were just too many!) it was present time!  She started out interested but then she moved on to something else.  There were plenty of helpers to get the job done, though!

We tried getting a picture with her closest in age friend, Serena, but they were too interested in their toys.  :)

Since I used her quilt in all her monthly pictures, I wanted to incorporate it into the party too.  We hung it up and snapped pictures of the guests.  We got everyone but one family that had to leave early.

The Coleman family.  Helga is my friend who does @pattycakecloset with me on instagram.
The Richey's.  Adeline is into making faces these days!  Haha!
Aunt Cassie drove up for the party and we were so excited!
 Tejay and Aaren
 Andrew and Jessica
Gran and G-Daddy with a super silly Westin.
The Rowe family.
Westin is also into making faces these days!

Reagan's First Birthday Party-The Details

We had such a fun time celebrating Reagan's first birthday this past weekend!  I decided to keep it very simple this go round.  I didn't really have a theme...just colors.  I didn't do any planning months in advance like I did for Westin's first birthday either.  We invited family and three friends and it was so relaxing and fun.

I found the picture frame at Hobby Lobby and knew it would be perfect.  My mom helped me make the pleated paper fans and the name banner is from my first "internet friend", Brittany.  :)  She sent it as a baby gift when Reagan was born.  It hangs over her crib normally.

I recovered the photo stand my Dad made for Westin's first birthday and printed off Reagan's monthly pictures.
She got a kitchen and loves it!  She tries to crawl in the shelves all the time.
Simple flower centerpiece with some amazing cookies around them.

The dessert table with her smash cake, cupcakes, and cookies.
Her cute smash cake was made by a local lady. She also made Westin's smash cake.
The amazing cookies were made by With Sugar On Top.  They were incredible and delicious.

I can never resist paper straws for a party.  :)  It is amazing how much can go into even a simple party, but it was all worth it.  I know Reagan had a great time and I enjoyed watching her have fun.  More pictures to come.
