My Parent's Hydrangeas

Here are the details on my parent's hydrangeas:

- They fertilize them with 0-40-40 and 46-0-0 in the early spring and middle of the summer.  You could also use 13-13-13 fertilizer.
- They are watered every other day with the yard sprinklers and they water them in between on really hot days.
- They trim them back after the blooms are gone.  Usually the middle of the summer.
- The plants are also about 25 years old.  That helps a lot!  :)

I'm jealous! Seriously, I have 2 and have only seen one flower one time. Not a good fertilizer person, maybe that's the secret. Thanks for the tip!

I'm emailing this to my Mom! She manages to grow hers in Texas even in the heat and will love this info!
