Valentine Card Giveaway!

She did it again!  Crystal from Artistic Designs made the cutest Valentine's cards!  She is giving away one to one lucky reader!  Yay!  I love these because there is hardly any work involved.  You just email her a picture (or pictures) and she will make a card and then email it back to you.  Then you just print how many you would like.  My favorite way for printing is Sam's Club.  The 5x7 prints are just 38 cents each!

I pretty much am showing you all of her examples because I thought they were all so cute and couldn't decide what to show!

She even made one up with Westin's picture!  :)  If you do not have kids then you can still send cards!  What about a wedding or honeymoon picture?  Either a recent one or one from 5, 10, 15+ years ago.  Wedding pictures are always fun to see.  The older the better too.  Or just a picture of cute little ole you!  Your friends and family would be glad to have it.

Wanna win a template?  You know the drill....Go visit Crystal's site HERE and come back and tell me which template you would choose.   Good luck with that!  There are way too many cute ones to decide.  Be sure to click through all the pages too.  Winner will be announced Wednesday morning!

Happy Weekend!

The winner of the Twice As Nice giveaway is #52!  Congratulations Sara!  Email me at row35401 at yahoo dot com and I'll send your email to the twins.  Thanks to everyone who entered!

We are having a fun Saturday chasing around Westin.  He realized he could pull up to standing (not just to his knees) so now that is all he wants to do.  He sure was proud of himself!  :)

Feature Week-StudioJRU

Happy Friday!  Our last feature this week is Jennifer from Studio JRU.  She is an amazing artist!  More specifically an amazing, mixed media inspirational artist.  (She also has a line for Dayspring-wow!)  I know a lot of you already love her work and she is offering a special deal for you today!  She rarely has sales and she has never offered one this big but for one week you can get 30% off all items currently on her website.  Just use the code "Blessournest30" at checkout.

One of my all time favorite pieces is her Good News print.  It is an 8x8 print and comes in the 12x12 white mat.  The original price is $17 so with the sale you can get it for $11.90!  I'm pretty sure you probably cannot even find a mat for that price.  ;)

Her Rejoice Always piece is an original on a canvas and comes ready to hang.  I also love this one!  I'm pretty sure I love all of them though.  ;)

The Faith Is wooden cross is also an original and has one of my favorite verses on it.  I love the color too!

This verse has such meaning to so many people.  This original canvas would look so cute in a boy's or girl's nursery.

The blocks that she makes are so neat.  I love things like this to sit around and I think I would put this one on my kitchen countertop to remind me of all the blessings in my life.

Of course I still love this giraffe print!  It is so adorable!!  I love the colors and the phrase.  It would be perfect for any kid's room but I think it would be so perfect for an adoption.  It is originally $30 for the print and mat but right now you can get it on sale for $21!

So remember, today through Friday, Feb. 4th you can get 30% off everything in her shop.  Enter "blessournest30" at checkout to get the discount.  She has never had a sale this big!  Click HERE to start shopping.  Thank you, Jennifer!

Feature Week-Scentsy

Next up in our feature week is Scentsy.  I am a Scentsy convert!  I had never really heard of them until Tiffany introduced me.  Basically they are plug in warmers that are pretty and smell wonderful! They are perfect for homes with pets and kids because there is no flame and you don't have to worry about blowing it out before you leave the house.  I leave mine plugged in all the time.  I personally cannot believe how long the scent lasts.  I thought I would get used to it but I smell it every time I walk in the door.  I love Scentsy!

This is my warmer in the kitchen.  Currently I am "burning" Apple Pie.  Yummy!

In my guest bathroom I'm "burning" Sugar Cookie.  Can you tell I like food scents?  ;)

Every month Scentsy has a warmer of the month and a scent of the month that you can purchase it at a discount.   Right now the warmer of the month is this Margo warmer.

They even have this cute Valentine warmer!
My mother in law has a plug in warmer and the scent is just as strong in these.  I can smell it as soon as I walk in her house.

One of my favorite things about Scentsy though is that when you are tired of a scent and want to change it out, all you do is pour it back into the package and let it cool.  Then you can re-use it later!   This is my Apple Pie scent that I have been burning since November.  It is still going strong!

If you have a scent you love that has been retired then you can buy it this month.  They are having a "Bring back my bar" event.  This month only you can purchase retired scents.  Be sure to check out the Scentsy Buddies too!  Westin loves his lion AND it makes his nursery smell fresh.  Go check out Tiffany's website.  You will not be disappointed!

Feature Week-Stella & Dot

Continuing our feature week today, I have more eye candy for you!  Let me tell you though, choosing some pictures from the Stella & Dot website was hard!  I wanted to show you every piece! Here are a few of my favorites from the new spring collection.

I love wearing necklaces and it will be fun to wear them one day without them getting yanked on all day.  ;)  This Birds of Paradise necklace is right up my ally.  I love the colors and it even has a bird on it!

I am usually not a bracelet girl but I think I could make an exception for this Sunset Bangle!

And definitely for this gold Bardot Spiral Bangle.  Love these!!
Now, earrings are my thing and I love this style.  I could probably wear these Bardot Hoop earrings  everyday.  They would definitely be my "go-to" earrings.
Who couldn't use a fun ring? This Camilla ring is calling my name!  haha

Right now Danielle is offering your choice of either the new ProsperWishing, or Revival bracelet to one lucky reader who spends $50 or more.  If you place an order HERE for $50 or more, your name will go into a drawing for a free $34 bracelet or a $39 bracelet!     I love this Wishing bracelet.  I think I'm a sucker for turquoise.  Anyways, thank you, Danielle and happy shopping!

Feature Week-Willow House

Another wonderful sponsor is Carmella with Willow House.  She gets to look at such beautiful pieces every day!  How fun!  I love these Amelia Thimble Domes.  These come in a set of three and I love their ideas of putting cupcakes or even Easter eggs in them.  Or use them as place cards.  You could even take the domes off and use the saucers with votive candles.  Love these!

I'm really into organization lately (or at least into the thought of organizing-actually following through is a whole different story!  ha!) so I am really drawn to this French Wire Carousel Caddy.  There are sooo many uses for this in organization or even in entertaining.

Of course I am always drawn to kitchen towels.  I'm not sure why but I am happy as a lark with a pretty towel hanging in my kitchen.  I love the colors of these Continental towels.

I love the outlet section of Willow House and the weekly deals that they have.  These Trellis Planter Holders are marked down to $7.96!  That's for a set of two.  I also love how so many of the Willow House products can be used in SO many different ways.  These do not have to used as planters.  You can use them in organization on a desk or even serving food or holding utensils.

Right now when you spend $39.96 at Willow House you can choose a product that is $40 or less and get it half off.  I'm not sure how one would choose what item they want at half off but it will be fun to shop around!   :)

Feature Week-Twice As Nice Lettering Giveaway

This week I am going to be featuring my wonderful sponsors!  They are such great ladies and I love talking about them and sharing their work with you.  :)

Twice As Nice Lettering is a wonderful vinyl wall graphics studio.  These twin sisters make vinyl wall graphics and vinyl lettering for your walls, mirrors, doors or basically any smooth surface.   They also do custom orders.  So if you don't see what you need, just email them and they can probably make it.  They have a lot of unique pieces and you can always choose what color you would like.

Chandeliers are so popular right now and I think this one is so cute!

I have always loved these house numbers.  Remember, you can get these in any color!

Love this cross!  I think this would be so pretty on an old window or door too.  You can put these pretty much anywhere.

Fern and Fran of Twice As Nice have generously offered to give away this vinyl quote:

What a great piece!  It measures 21"h and 18"w and comes in 22 different colors!  This would look great anywhere but I can easily see it in a dining room, kitchen or family room.  I think it would be pretty on a canvas too and framed with a big frame.  If you didn't want to mess with a canvas then you could put it on your wall and then hang a frame around it.

I have a couple of their pieces so believe me when I say they are very easy to install.  You will not be disappointed!

***If you order from their shop this week and mention BLESSOURNEST the you will get 10% off your order through Sunday!!!

So, do you want to win their "Christ is the center of our home" piece?  Go visit their shop HERE and tell me what your favorite piece is.  This giveaway will be open all week and random.org will announce a winner Saturday.  Don't forget to leave your email addy if you don't have a blog.  Good luck and thank you so much, Fern and Fran!

Winner and Snow Days

First of all, according to random.org, the winner of the 3rd Floor Art giveaway is lucky #13!  Congratulations, Ginnbelle!  You have your choice of a custom painted canvas or canvas tote!  Please email me at row35401 at yahoo dot com and I'll get you connected with Joelle!  Thanks again, Joelle!

This past week we have been a bit snowed in.  You know when it snows 3-5 inches here then we are snowed in.  ;)  The roads were pretty bad one day so we have been a little cooped up.  Westin has found plenty of ways to entertain himself though.

Putting things on his face never gets old!  Using Mama's new drapes is apparently the most hilarious thing ever to him.

We did venture out to our sidewalk so Westin could look at the snow.  It must have been a little blinding to him because he couldn't look up at the camera.  He seemed to like looking at it though.

There is a really big hill behind our house and I have been hearing squeals and laughter every day from people sledding.  I can't wait to take Westin out there in a couple of years.
After our 2 minute adventure outside we came in to warm up with his all time fave-Puffs!  Happy weekend!

3rd Floor Art Giveaway

I'm so excited about this giveaway!  Joelle from 3rd Floor Art is giving away one custom canvas (up to a 12x12) OR a custom canvas tote.  One lucky reader will have the hard decision of deciding what they want.  :)

I absolutely love her name canvases.  You could even get one with your last name on it.  How cute would this be hanging on your front door?

Look how cute these canvas totes are!
She basically can paint on anything!  Every little kid needs a step stool.
 Her bow holders are adorable.

What little girl would not like carrying this to her dance class.  Joelle can customize these totes with any name/theme you would like.

If you would like to win a custom canvas or tote then go visit Joelle's blog HERE, click to follow her and then come back here and leave a comment.  Tell me if you would pick a canvas or tote.  You will be able to see more of her work on her craft blog HERE.   Be sure to leave your email address if you do not have a blog!

This giveaway is open until Friday night and random.org will pick a winner Saturday.  Thank you so much, Joelle and good luck to all of you!

Drape Hardware

I have my living room drapes hanging on wall hooks.  (You should be able to click on the picture to enlarge it) I didn't have room for a rod and finial because the window to the right of the fireplace is right up against the wall.  I also knew I didn't need these drapes to be functional.  I would never need to slide them to cover up the window so I went to Hobby Lobby and got some wall hooks.  Of course they were half off so I think they were around $12.00 total.  I used some drapery rings that I already had.  They were so much easier to hang than a drapery rod too!  :)

IKEA Finds

Wow!  All I can say is that I am so jealous of anyone who lives near IKEA!  :)  I know part of the fun was taking a special trip to go shop at one but I would love having one near by.  Cody and our bank account might not like it, but I sure would!  Also, thank you for all your comments!  I loved reading about your favorite products and eating places.  Unfortunately we just ate on the road so we could get back to our babies but next time I definitely want to try Gloria's!  After several of your comments, Lindsey and I both were going to get the lazy susan but we never saw it.  I'll have to spend more time looking next time.

First up, Westin.  He did so good while I was gone!  Thank you so much for all of your prayers.  I bawled like a big baby for the first 15 minutes after I left him but after that I was fine.  I knew he was in good hands.  He wasn't interested in his sippy cup or any milk for that matter but was still a happy baby.  He never fussed for milk or seemed mad he couldn't have any (at least how he wanted to have some).  He just ate his breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks and took his naps and went to bed without any problems.  Minus some play time and movie time from 1am-3:45am he did great!  ;)  I am sooooo thankful to my Mom for watching him!

Re-uniting with his was wonderful!  He reached for me and just kept staring at me while I was holding him.  After about 5 minutes of hugging he remembered what I am good for and was ready to nurse.  :)

It was a great trip and very successful!  We got what we went for plus a few extras of course.  I was also able to meet my "Internet friend" (as Cody calls her) to borrow some birthday supplies for Westin's first birthday party.  It will be a carnival theme so more on that later.  Thanks, Brittany!  It was good to finally meet you in person.  :)

I wanted to get this post up sooner but Westin has been so fussy and clingy.  I think he is mad at me for leaving him.  My mom thinks he just really misses her.  :)  I think it is a little of both.

Here are my new living room drapes:

I went with THESE panels and I really love them!  I folded over the tab tops and clipped them on the rings.  In all my excitement I forgot to take before pictures.  I had red drapes here.  I love how light these are!

The view from my sink makes me smile everyday.  Ha!
I also got THIS rug that I saw online.  I absolutely love it.  Cody thinks that it isn't very soft but I know he will get used to it.  ;)
I got the red and white storage ottoman at TJMaxx after Christmas, along with the pillows.  The ottoman hides all kinds of toys.

I also got some drapes for the master bedroom.  Again, I totally forgot to take a before picture but there were dark brown panels up there.
I got THESE drapes.  My goal is to get bamboo roman shades to go on each window between the panels.
I love how they have the option of using the rod pocket or pleating like this.
I also ended up getting some wall shelves and big picture frames for a wall in the living room.  I can't wait to hang them!
Once I saw the children's bedding in person I went with THIS one.  I thought I would like the one with the blue and white stripes but it actually had a lot of pink and purple on it.  After thinking about it we decided this one was more boyish.  I also got the matching Canopy that I hope to use at his birthday party too.

I didn't get the bed this trip but that is okay because I definitely plan on going back!  :)  What I love about that bed is that it turns into a twin bed, which is the size of the bedding.  Perfect!

I'm already saving my money and making a new list for the next trip.  Haha  I saw so many cute things!  I loved all their bedding and was really close to getting a new quilt and duvet but I have to have something to go back for!  :)
