Ikea Finds

Don't forget to scroll down to enter the E-Mealz giveaway, or just click HERE.  It's a good one!

I finally got around to taking pictures of my IKEA finds.  They were out of some things I wanted but my main goal was new bedding for our bedroom and I found some!  We have had all white bedding since we got married over 7 years ago.  It has held up great but I was just ready for a change.

Please ignore the brown headboard.  I'll be recovering it in a white fabric as soon as I can get to the store to get it.  Also, I don't know why it only came with 2 Euro shams?  Anybody have an extra one you want to sell me???  :) (seriously, I'll buy it!)  I would love to put three Euros in the back with the white king shams in front and then the decorative cases in front of those.  This is a Queen/King quilt and it is almost too big for our king bed.  Haha!

I also got the white oblong pillow from IKEA.  I am really happy with everything!  Hopefully this will last us another 7 years.  :)

My mom and I both got these pretty pillows for our couch and as soon as we got home we wished we had gotten two each.  Isn't that how it always works?  ;)  I love the color it brings to my living room.

Everything else I got was toys.  Well, I did get some curtains for the guest room that I'll show you after Cody hangs them up.  I moved our white bedding into the back guest room and moved some of the guest room bedding into the small guestroom.  It got confusing there for a minute in my head but I think it is going to work out great.  I'll post pictures soon!

I know I said we would have two giveaways this week but since it took me so long to get my act together, the next giveaway will be Monday.  It's a good one too!  :)

Have a great weekend!

Shannon,
I just got the same bedding and had your thoughts exactly!!! Why only two Euro Shams? I ended up finding an old white one and placed it in the middle of the two charcoal pillows...
I like how you placed the quilt on the bed with the duvet at the foot of the bed. I did the opposite (duvet on with quilt at the end) and may change it up in a couple of months to give some variety. :) Thank you also for the list of verses you sent me a while back...I recently went through a rather painful procedure and had the verse: 2 Timothy 2:13 in my running through my head...
Blessings to you!

I have those same pillows. I love them!
We're getting ready to tear out our entire kitchen and installing Ikea cabinets. I'm nervous but have heard nothing but good things about them.

I love Ikea! But sadly don't have one near me. I just went up to visit my family and Baltimore and stocked up at Ikea there - I told my husband when I got home that I had a trunk full of Ikea happiness. Your bed looks really nice and I almost got the same pillow - such fun colors.

Love the finds at Ikea! I am not even sure if we have one around here. I keep hearing everyone singing their praises so I will have to see what all the love is about :D We have a duvet from PB and it is super itchy so we don't actually use it sleep with so now I am trying to find another comforter that we actually use. Do y'all use ur duvet? I guess if we did use it then it would get all flat. So maybe I just need to buy a cheap comforter to sleep with and use the PB duvet for looks....this is crazy!!!

Cute, cute! I love the way the bedding looks. We have the floral pillows on our sofa too and they are my favorite. They look great with your decor! We just redid our playroom/office with lots of Ikea furniture and I'm so happy with how it turned out, I'll try to post pics soon, too! :) Thanks for your sharing where you found the fabrics! :)

Love love love those pillows! You have the greatest decorating sense. I keep getting stuck in the same rut (colors mostly). Are your decorating services for hire?! :)

I found SO many toys for Rhett and Gentry for Christmas this time. I told my husband that Santa will be a hero and we will only have spent about $50! haha! I am going to go back over there around Christmas to see if they've got any new items for kids.

Shannon, in the last picture I saw your curtains in the back ground. Where did you get those. I've been looking for something similar. Did you make them or buy them already done? Thanks! Love your new finds - so fun isn't it. :)

Hi! (Just recently found your blog) I love the bedding and I especially love the bright pillows in the last picture. IKEA always has such great things. I wish there was one in my town...but the closest one to me is about 2 hours away. Sad! Glad I found your blog!
