Plant Markers

*Don't forget to enter the Longaberger Giveaway HERE.  Winner announced Tuesday night.

**I still haven't heard from the winner of the Thirty One Gifts Giveaway.  Sarah Robbins?  Email me if that is you.  :)

***I apologize in advance for the pictures in this post.  They are not the prettiest because I took them yesterday evening with little light.

Have you seen the Plant Markers in the Target Dollar Spot?  There is a bag of 5 markers with a black marker for one dollar.  You can't beat that!  I bought three packs because I know I will use them for all sorts of things.

I used the marker to write on one to test it out and then realized it is a permanent marker.  I thought it was a dry erase marker!  Haha  That wasn't going to work so out came my trusty chalkboard paint.  ;)

I think I kind of like this look better anyways.  Since I am not going to use them outside, I don't have to worry about the rain erasing my writing.  Of course, if you are going to use these to actually mark plants then you would want to use the permanent marker since they will probably outside in the elements.

I plan on using some to put in small potted plants that I will be giving as gifts.  Yesterday I used one of the packs around the house.  Katie gave us this plant in August on Reese's birthday so I put Reese's name in it.  Every time I see it I think of Reese and pray for Jason and Katie.

I stuck one in the dying plant on our dining room table.

I also stuck one in the dying plant behind our kitchen sink. (Not sure why this font is centered....)

I even stuck one in the fake plant in the guest room.  :)

I think one would also be cute sticking out of a cake or pie.  I would love to plant some herbs and use them in those but that is just not going to happen.  Haha  How would you use them?

Thank you!

I always make a little basket for overnight guests with toiletries, etc. It would be cute sticking out of a basket like that. Not sure what I'd say. "Welcome" or "Enjoy". "Relax" maybe? Would also be cute sticking out of a spring wreath. I can picture a little bird too!

I am going to be looking for these at my Target. I love their dollar bins. These would be cute to use on a buffet line, to mark the different foods.

I have a little collection of these and I have used them to label buffets. I used a dry erase marker to write out each dish and stick them in to let guests know what I'm serving at a party or shower.

How neat! I haven't gone through the dollar section lately, I'm going to need to do that! I also need to get some of that chalkboard paint, I keep meaning to get some but always forget.

Super cute! I think it's so precious that you put a little marker in Reese's rememberance plant.

Dang! I was at Target today and skimmed the outer aisle of the dollar spot, but I should've gone in! I wouldn't have had this crafty idea, though...guess this means another trip ;) You are SO CREATIVE!
