Can You See Where This Is Going?

Don't forget to scroll down one post to see the winner of the Valentine Giveaway!

If you have been reading here for long you will be able to tell really quick where this post is going. I might need an intervention!  I just love thinking up fun new ways to use chalkboard paint though.  This post is basically told in pictures.

1.  Old, faded picture.

 2.  Rip off the back and bend up the staples holding the print in place.
 3.  Take out the mat.
 4.  Paint.
 5. Cover old picture with your paper of choice.
 6.  Tape.
 7.  Tape twine (or ribbon of choice) behind mat.
 8.  Take out glass before putting back in frame so you can easily write on the mat.
 9.  Hang on new IKEA shelves.  (This step is optional-put it wherever you like!)  :)
 10.  The "keeping-it-real" shot.

Thank you!

I love this idea! I just used chalk board paint for the first time last weekend, I love it and was thinking what else I could do with it. Thank you so much for sharing, I think this just may have to be my next project!

Another fabulous redo. I bought some cute frames at GW the other day and I think one may be perfect for something like this.

Hope you are keeping warm & cozy in the crazy weather!

What a great idea! Thank you! I see that one of your new sponsors is Longaberger. I live in So. California and have been collecting Longaberger baskets for a long time now. I always wondered if Longaberger was popular in the mid west. Nobody seems to decorate with them in the blogs that I follow! Hmmmmm. Thanks again for the great project!

I was a little confused about the twine but then I zoomed in on the photo. Did you use a mini clip to hang the picture? You have the best ideas and I love stealing them :)
