December Sponsor Review

Whew!  We are still getting everything back together from last week.  All the decorations came down yesterday except the tree.  I'll do that today.  It was really weird how the decorations weren't even bothering me though.  I think I just took them down because they had never stayed up that long before.  Haha  It does feel nice though.  Have you taken all your Christmas decor down?

I wanted to dedicate a post to my wonderful December Sponsors! They offer some unique items that I know you would love.

Willow House has the best home decor!  Personally I love all their kitchen items but everything they have is beautiful.  Right now they are still offering their Merry Markdowns on selected items through December 31!Also, when you spend $39.96, you can take 50% off an item that is $40 or less!  Click HERE to check out these great deals.  Thanks, Carmella!

These twin sisters offer so much in the vinyl lettering world!  I just ordered a laundry decal that I plan on making into a sign for my laundry room.  Everything can be customized for your space or choose one of the many pre-made designs.  They have taken a little break from their etsy to welcome Fran's grandson into the world but check back soon because they plan to open it back up very soon!  Click HERE to check out their shop or HERE to go to their blog.

Oh, there are so many unique pieces in Jennifer's shop!  She is a mixed media artist whose pieces will definitely inspire you. They are beautiful!  And how cool is it that she has a line for Dayspring?!  Click HERE to see her amazing work.  Thanks, Jennifer!

Who does not love beautiful jewelry?  Stella & Dot offer such fun pieces and I love they have a line for little girls too.  Right now they are having a New Year, New You sale.  You can take an extra 20% off already reduced prices!  This sale is for one week only and ends Jan. 2nd.  They are making room for the new line so check back often!  Click HERE to get started.

I'm a Scentsy convert!  I have been using my warmer constantly for the past month.  My favorite scent right now is Baked Apple Pie.  Cody comes home from work thinking I have made something.  :)  Plus I never have to worry that I have left a candle burning.  They debut a warmer of the month and scent of the month each month and offer it at a discount.  I can't wait to see what the January warmer will be.  I have the December warmer (Pinecone) and love it!  Click HERE to check it out.

Thank you!

What A Difference A Year Makes

Christmas 2009:
 Christmas 2010:
Last year I was 27 weeks pregnant and couldn't fully visualize what our next Christmas would look like.  Cody and I said to each other several times last year, "can you believe next year we will have a nine month old?!"  It truly feels like just yesterday we were saying that.  Unbelievable!  But boy, am I so glad  it is not last year!  It was an absolute blast spending Christmas with Westin!
Two stockings were added this year.  Colson and Westin's.  I love seeing them all lined up.  :)
Our little family on Christmas morning.
 Westin with Gran and G-Daddy.
Westin loved his new wagon from his great-grandparents, Gigi and Papa.  It will be so fun pulling him around this summer.
Westin and his cousin Peyton with his Nana and Poppy.
We brought home a car load of toys and spent nearly all day unpacking but it was so fun seeing Westin playing with them all.  I always thought it was fun getting gifts but boy, it is sooo much more fun seeing your baby excited over new toys. :)  Even more exciting was all the family time we got last week.  Westin got to meet some family he had never met and spend a lot of time with his grandparents and great grandparents. He will probably be in a little bit of withdrawal this week because he won't have constant grandparent attention.  Ha!  We had a wonderful time and enjoyed celebrating the Reason for the season with our families and I hope you did too!

Christmas Decor Continued

Here is the last of my Christmas decorations.  I have really enjoyed them this year.  Last year I was pregnant and once I put up everything, it lasted three weeks.  I took it all down the week BEFORE Christmas!  It got on my nerves and I wanted the house spotless and organized.  :)  I keep looking around this year and I'm surprised when I still like having everything out.  Who knows?  I might not take it down until the middle of January!!  Ha!  Very unlikely, but a new baby sure does change some things.  Anyways, here is the living room.

I printed off a vintage image of Santa from The Graphics Fairy to put in this jar. I found the old Santa and sleigh at an antique store.

In the dining room I hung two Santa prints that I got at a thrift store and added some greenery to the candle sconces.

I kept the centerpiece very simple.

One of my very favorite Christmas decorations is this coconut Nativity.  I got it at a craft fair in Hawaii 5 years ago when we went the week before Christmas.  I look forward to getting it out every Christmas.

These Santa prints originally had hunter green frames but I painted them white and added a little bit of a glaze.

Westin's room even got some festive touches.

So true!

The guest bathroom got a Christmas sign and a few other pretties.

See the birds on the tray?  I got one for Christmas last year and this year I won one at our Small Group Christmas party.  They were meant to be together!  :)

I still have a few things to buy but I'm getting there!  Westin is a good shopper so that really helps.  Haha

Winner and More Christmas Decor

According to Random.org, the winner of the Stella & Dot earrings is #60, camandkate! Congratulations! I'll forward your email address on to Danielle so she can send you your earrings! Thank you to everyone who entered! If you didn't win and would like to buy the earrings or anything else you saw, go HERE.

I kept our Christmas decor pretty simple this year. I probably only put out 1/2 of what I have but I am okay with that. It feels like just the right amount to me. Here are some pictures and I will finish posting the rest of the pictures later this week. Walking into the kitchen from the dining room, you must stop under the mistletoe! ;)

I got this little countdown to Christmas man at Oops for $4.00. He was quirky enough that I had to have him.

I hung some of my favorite Christmas ornaments from the kitchen chandelier.

I changed out the pitcher that holds my wooden spoons for a Christmas one. I also added a Santa figurine to a $2 thrift store footed silver tray. Notice my Scentsy warmer? Love it!

Behind the sink:

I love my Lori Mitchell figurines! Here are two little elves.

I thought candy canes were appropriate for this candy jar. :) But be careful if you want to eat one! I think they have been in there for about 3 years! haha

Instead of my usual snowman wall pocket, I'm keeping our Christmas cards in this herb crate.

This is the place where I change out these metal signs. I have one for several holidays and it is just something fun to do. :)

I hope to finish up my shopping this week. I think I only have two small things left to buy. Then I have to finish wrapping. I am constantly amazed at how much longer everything takes with a baby! ;) Are y'all finished with everything?

Stella & Dot Giveaway

Don't forget to enter the Willow House giveaway HERE! This is the last day to enter

Today is also the last giveaway of December and it is another great one! Stella & Dot was founded by a mother of two who wanted to find the perfect balance between a busy family and a successful career. Their jewelry is beautiful and I'll take one of each please! Haha (Fun fact-I try to watch The Price is Right everyday :) and Stella & Dot jewelry was part of the showcase showdown the other day!) Now, on to the fun part!

I love these earrings. I am an earring girl though. I think I would feel completely naked without earrings!

There is something so timeless about lockets. This one is the perfect size and so pretty. I love how they mixed the beads too.
How fun are these? These bracelets are made out of silk and you can add what ever charms you like. They also come in necklaces.
I received this necklace as a gift last year and I wear it all the time. It literally goes with everything and the charms are so pretty.

Danielle with Stella & Dot has graciously offered to give away these delicate drop earrings to one reader! How perfect would these be for your Christmas parties? I love that these would go great with any color outfit and would still stand out enough to get noticed. So pretty!

To be entered in the giveaway go to Danielle's Stella & Dot site HERE, and then tell me what your favorite piece is. I'm warning you-it will be hard! Everything is gorgeous! For a second entry, email Danielle your address so you can receive the beautiful catalogs. Be sure to leave a separate comment telling me you emailed her. Her email is danleecopeland (at) gmail (dot) com. Good luck! I know I'm going to be totally jealous of the winner. haha

Winner and Christmas Mantle and Tree

First of all, the winner (according to random.org) of the $20.00 gift certificate to StudioJRU is:
#27-Andrew and Lisa!

Congratulations! Send me an email (row35401 at yahoo dot com) and I will forward your info on to Jennifer. Thanks again, Jennifer for a fun giveaway!

Second of all, don't forget there is still time to enter the Willow House giveaway HERE!

For my Christmas mantle this year I pretty much did what I have always done, with a few new additions.

I added lights to my garland and added the ornaments on the candlesticks. When I take my garland down I will put the lights on there better. I added them after I hung it so they are just kind of laying on it. :)

I still love our stockings from Ballard Designs. We got them when we got married almost 7 years ago. Cody's is the green one and mine is red. Obviously adding Westin's coordinating one was SO fun this year! :)

I searched for a couple of years for the perfect Nativity scene and found this one at Hobby Lobby about three years ago. I got it after Christmas for 90% off. I love the large scale of it. The tallest pieces are over 12" tall.

Here is our finished Christmas tree. I know I said it before but I love having it in the dining room. We can still see it from the living room and it is not competing with the mantle. When I'm sitting in the living room I love having the mantle lit up on my left and the tree lit on my right. It makes it seem so cozy.

Westin hasn't shown much interest in the tree yet. Even though I take him over to it every day and make a big deal about turning the lights on, he could care less. ;) He did roll in there the other day and start chewing on a gift. I can't wait to see if he will be into opening his presents. I think he will be more interested in trying to eat the tissue paper. Haha Either way, I can't wait!

The final giveaway of the month is tomorrow! I've had so much fun with these and hope you have too!

Willow House Giveaway

**Don't forget to enter the StudioJRU giveaway also! Winner announced tomorrow! Click HERE.**

I'm so excited about this giveaway from Carmella with Willow House! Carmella was one of my very first bloggy friends. You might know her as Southern Fried Gal. She has a cutie son and loves decorating her home for the seasons as much as I do. She even has an etsy shop! This girl does it all. Get excited because one lucky reader will get to spend $35.00 in her shop!

I LOVE these stockings! They are a great deal at $26.96 too!

How cute is this matching runner? I'm loving the lime green with the red and white.

If I could choose anything I know I would get these kitchen towels and measuring spoons. I just have such a weakness for kitchen items!

These mini lanterns would add such a special touch to outdoor parties. Much cuter than just a votive candle sitting around.

Another thing I would definitely buy is this candle sconce. I love how they put something different besides a candle on it. This is something that could easily go in any room of the house. The absolute best part about these is that they are only $14.96 right now!

Well, I know you are probably loving Willow House as much as I am now. :) Such fun, pretty pieces! I rarely do this, but on this giveaway you can have two chances to win!

First, go visit Carmella's site HERE and leave me a comment telling me what you would pick. Be sure to leave your email address if you do not have a blog.

Second, subscribe to Carmella's newsletter HERE and leave a seperate comment telling me you did.

Random.org will pick a winner Friday night. Good luck! Thanks, Carmella!
