Blessed Again

I received a fun package in the mail last weekend! Leslie from Feathers In My Nest sent me some things that she picked up while antiquing and some other things she thought I would like. Leslie's blog was one of the first ones I started reading years ago. I love everything she does to her home. Her style is beautiful!

I love this glittery bunny! She said it reminded her of me because I will be pushing a baby stroller around this spring. :)

This little cup is so cute! It says "Old Mother Hubbard" on one side and the other side says "The Cow Jumped Over The Move". Perfect for a nursery and it will go great with my silver baby cup collection.

How sweet is this, her daughter Myah picked out this book for Westin because she loves Curious George. I love it and know Westin will too! Thank you Myah!
I think this set is adorable! It is a child sized silver knife, spoon and fork. I'm going to keep it in his cabinet for now but I'll move it to my silver utensil collection in the kitchen when he's older. :)

She also sent this wonderful smelling sachet. Now every time I open his cabinet it smells so good! Thank you so much Leslie! You are such a sweet blogging friend!

Jewelry

I usually don't talk much about jewelry but when I was asked to do a review on LuShae Jewelry I jumped at the chance! Who doesn't love jewelry?!

Sarah sent me this crown ring and it really is gorgeous. I love the size of it! Not too big and not too small. Perfect.
I would definitely recommend any of Sarah's jewelry. All the pieces are beautiful. There is something for everyone on her site.

I can't wait until my fingers aren't swollen so I can wear it! Haha! I ordered it in my regular size and I can get it on now but I'm too scared it will get stuck. :) I know I will be wearing it all the time in just a few short weeks! Thank you so much Sarah for letting me know about your wonderful website!

Wonderful Baby Shower

This past weekend our wonderful Connection Group hosted a shower for Westin and Katie graciously opened her house for it. We are so blessed to have such a close group of friends "doing life" together. We have all been together for years and have had countless baby showers. They are always so fun. :)

Here is the beautiful table. Katie said she must love me since she even planted flowers for me! Haha! I was definitely feeling the love with everything she did and with what everyone did for the shower.

The absolutely delicious petit fours were so cute with "W"'s, booties and safety pins on them.

This was such a cute idea! We had to guess how many pieces of candy were in the jars and whoever was closest without going over won them.

Sour Patch Kids are my absolutely favorite candy but I was off by about 100! Haha! Jill won them and was so sweet to give them to me. She knows how much I love them. I shared with her. ;)

The hostesses. Jill, Helga, Lindsey, Me, Katie, Jennifer, Desty and Abby.

This was a cute onesie that Lindsey's sister-in-law made me. You might have to click on the picture to see it better but it has owls on it! Too cute!

Gran (my Mom) got Westin this cute outfit. I love little boys in this style of outfit. :)

Two of the little kids I used to nanny for were able to come so that was fun. It was such a great shower and Cody and I are so overwhelmed by every one's generosity through out my whole pregnancy. We are truly blessed and thank the Lord for each of you!

Bedroom Corner and 35 Weeks

I wanted to have a chair in our room beside the cradle for feedings and just a place to sit and hold Westin. My Grandmother gave me this chair when I was in college and I cannot believe I did not take a before picture! It was cream with gold splattered paint and the cushions were hunter green. Before the green cushions they were gold velvet. :) I spray painted the chair Heirloom White and had it professionally re-upholstered.

I think the man who re-upholstered it thought I was crazy for spray painting a chair and then having it professionally re-upholstered. Ha! Normally I would try to re-upholster it myself but it was only $75.00 and saved me a big headache I'm sure. :)

Now I have a comfy place to hold Westin in our room that is close to his cradle.

Here is my 35 week shot. I was headed to bed so that is why it is a little rough looking. :) No one tells you that you are pregnant in your face too. :)

Here is my "before" picture at about 7 weeks. I cannot imagine looking like this again! Ha! Please tell me my face and swollen feet will go back to normal!

More Nursery Pictures

I received another wonderful gift for Westin a couple of weeks ago. Jodi from Back 40 Life sent me this cute wooden sign with his name and a verse on it. I love the color and size. It matches his nursery perfectly.

We hung it over his door so it is the first thing you see when you turn the corner in the hallway. Thank you so much Jodi! That was so sweet of you!

This past weekend we also got to pick up our chair for the nursery. I was so excited to get it! My Mom and I backed up to the loading dock and they put it in the car for us. When we got home Cody and my Dad unloaded it and opened it while I had my feet propped up, resting. The look on their faces was priceless! There was a ZEBRA print chair in the box! Obviously it wasn't the right one so we loaded it back up and got the right one.

It is really hard to get a good picture in this room because of the window. It is such a wonderful chair! It is the Patoka style from Best Chairs and it's a swivel glider.

It takes up a lot of the room but it will be so worth it. :) I see a lot of late nights/early mornings in this chair in my future. Only 5 more weeks!

Westin's First Shower

Cody, Westin and I were blessed with an unbelievable baby shower this past weekend. We were so blown away with every one's generosity! Thank you to everyone that was involved! Here are a ton of pictures to enjoy. :)

The hostesses knew I loved birds and nests and had so many special touches. It was beautiful!

I love seeing Westin's monogram.

I loved all of the natural elements and loved how this beverage dispenser looked like a cloche. :)

Even the punch bowl was on a nest!

The wonderful hostesses.
Mrs. Rush, Leah, Me, Elizabeth, Christina and Mrs. Ray

Me and Katie (Cody says we are "cheesin" in this picture.)

Me an my Mom

Leah made this adorable onesie.

Like I said, we were completely blown away! This is everything after we unloaded it from our car and Elizabeth's car. Unbelievable.

Everyone at the shower wrote a message on a diaper. Some were sweet and some were funny. Here are a few. You might have to click on the picture to see it better.

I thought this was such a cute idea! When we use these diapers I will be remembering the special shower that we had.

Random 34 week picture. :)

Valentine Goodies

After I pack up Christmas each year I think I will never be in the mood for the few Valentine decorations that I have, but I always get excited a few weeks later to put it out. I keep it all in the kitchen because there is not much and it makes more of an impact that way.

I just love Larkspur Lane figurines.

This jar might already be half way gone. Heart shaped Gobstoppers are my favorite Valentine candy!

I hot glued this heart ornament in the cloche. It peels off easily when I'm finished with it.

Cute bird salt and pepper shakers that my mom got me last year and a Valentine quote picture thingy that I made last year while we were iced in for a few days.

This took a lot of thought. Hahaha! I just stuck some heart picks from Hob Lob in the jars. :)

I love changing out these metal signs over my laundry room. I've been seeing some really cute Valentine decorations out in blogland! I think I love decorating for the smaller holidays just as much as I do for fall and Christmas. :)
