Nine Months

Don't forget to scroll down and enter the StudioJRU giveaway!

Westin is pretty excited to be nine months! I might cry though because he is almost to the double digits. Haha! He also loves his Christmas shirt that Lindsey made him. He turned 9 months on Sunday and here is what he has been up to this past month:

-You weigh 17.38 lbs (10%)-I didn't look on the breastfed babies chart so he might be a little higher on the charts.
-You are 28.15" tall (50%)
-The biggest news is that you got your first tooth! It came in on Thanksgiving Day. What is even cooler is that your Daddy got his first tooth on Thanksgiving Day too! He was 7.5 months and you were 8.5 months.
-6-9 month clothing
-Size 3 diapers, size 4 at night
-You still nap twice a day and you have really stepped it up from your usual 30 min. naps and have been napping around 2 hours each.
-Still nursing 4-5 times a day and eating breakfast, lunch and dinner of homemade baby food.
-We tried Puffs and yogurt this past week and you like both.
-You will pick the Puffs off your tray and drop them over the side. I'm not sure why you won't put them in your mouth!
-We've started sprinkling a little cinnamon on some of your food and you love it!
-We give you sippy cups all the time but you treat them just like a bottle or paci...you just chew and bite them! It doesn't matter what it has in it.
-You still roll everywhere! You are not crawling (which is fine by me! ha!) but you have been pulling a leg up under you and you really work hard at getting a toy that is out of reach.
-You love to dance! We can say the word "dance" and you start a goin'.
-You have started getting up at least once in the night to eat. I know it is purely a habit but this softie Mama can't let you cry it out!
-You still love your excersaucer and swing. The swing might be on it's way out though since you get so excited in it I'm scared you are going to break it. Haha
-You got to sit on Santa's lap last week! You weren't sure about him at first but you warmed up and gave us a big smile for the camera.
-You babble all day long and if we prompt you to say "Dada" or "Mama", you will. Love this!

We love you so much Westin, and we are looking forward to your first Christmas!

Thank you!

He's such a cutie! I'm so excited for the babies first Christmas this year :) He's growing good and every baby grows at their own pace...I didn't know there was a breastfed baby chart? Maybe I should look at that one instead...I'm gonna Google that! Take care! Becky

Happy 9 mos sweet Westin!!! Love your beautiful smile :D How do you get your percentages? I get some at the doctor's office but then when he doesn't go I don't get them and don't know what site to trust. Which one do you use? Hope you and ur fam have a great Christmas and continue to have many blessings like Westin!!!!

He is absolutely adorable!! D weighs around 19 1/2 pounds and is 10 months. I think its just the way breastfed babies are. Anyways, just wanted to comment on how cute he is and how much I LOVE your crib bedding :)

Sweet Baby Westin!!! He is so darlin'...I just want to love on him! He always looks like the happiest little thing ever. He sounds like he is *thriving* beautifully! I never let either of mine cry it out. I always went to them when they cried in the night, and now they sleep fine. AK went to a big bed (full in her room) from the crib before she turned two, and we would read 3 books, say prayers, and literally tell her 'goodnight' and turn out the light. She would put herself to sleep. Jack is following in her footsteps, too. Some people always warn you will raise a needy, clingy, manipulative child if you don't let them cry it out. I have found the opposite. Whatever your motherly instincts tell you (even if, in fact, it would be to let him cry), follow those instincts! You are his expert! Y'all are going to have such a fun Christmas!

Don't tell your doc about getting up in the night to nurse! I told my pedi that when Rhett was nine months and she really got onto me. I was like you... couldn't say no, it wasn't bothering me, and really I didn't know that it was a manipulation on Rhett's part. I stopped shortly thereafter, and we didn't have too many nights of crying it out!

He is seriously one of the cutest little boys ever! Love his sweet smile. :) We started giving Libbi sippy cups around 8.5-9 months and I swear it was probably close to 12 before she mastered it - ha! But, she finally got the hang of it, it just took her awhile :) She wouldn't really take a bottle either, but by that point it was great, because it was one less thing we had to worry about weaning her off of!

I never let Amelia cry it out either. Would break my heart to just let her scream. Love his Christmas shirt! He's such a sweetie.

Westin is such a cutie!! Just curious, do you ever call him West, or does he go by Westin? Both are super cute. :)

Im just catching up on some blog reading but I love reading your monthly updates on Westin b/c they are so similar to Cannon's. So fun to read about other babies and what they are up to. Aren't they fun at this age?? Love it! Westin is just so precious!

Just wanted you to know how much I love the way you're archiving each month of Westin's life. I love it so much in fact, that I copied it!!! I'm using a chalkboard for each month with my baby girl. Check it out on my blog!!! http://lovelylittlelaughter.blogspot.com/2010/12/4-months-and-lovin-life.html
