Fall Decorating

I kept it simple this year while decorating for fall. I probably only used 1/4 of my decorations. I also went a little more whimsical instead of a lot of greenery. Get ready for a lot of pictures!

In the hall bathroom I stacked two pumpkins on top of some greenery that was already there.

One of my favorite things to do is change out the seasonal tea towel. It's the little things that make me smile! :) Still loving my sign that Katie got me several years ago.

A fun little thing-y hanging on a hook.

I used all of my figurines in the kitchen.

I love these trick-or-treaters. :)

This pumpkin man has always had his place behind the sink since I got him about 5 years ago. He is one of my favorite decorations.

My mantel is VERY simple this year. The only things I added were the fun picks and the candlesticks with pumpkins.

My mom gave me these old brass candlesticks and I spray painted them heirloom white.

For some reason their skinny silhouette made me think they would look good with fall decor??? Not sure where that came from. :) Either way, I liked them.

Last year I stuck this sunflower pick in this pumpkin. (Sorry this is such a bad pic!)

The dining room was kept VERY simple by just adding this pumpkin to the centerpiece.

Westin's bathroom got a little pumpkin man too. I hope one day he will love coming home from school and seeing the house decorated for the season! Do boys even notice stuff like that? :)
Just for fun you can see last year's decor HERE and HERE. I was definitely a little more into then. :) I do really love my "BOO" pumpkins.......maybe I'll go back up in the attic to get those.

I still love all your decorating but it is funny once you have kids how much usually you scale back. I'm sure Westin will love it all when he gets older.

Yes boys notice. My Ben loves setting pumpkins out and placing pieces where he thinks they look best...for all holidays. Ben likes it more than Madi.

Cute decor! I like the little pumpkin added in your dining room centerpiece. Yes, boys do notice. I have four boys and they notice every detail, more so than our two daughters did when they were younger!

Be Blessed!

I have vivid memories of coming home from school and seeing that my mom had decorated for a holiday. Just the other day I was remembering an afternoon that I came home in the fall and my mom had put out a pumpkin basket and had fresh candy corn & pumpkins in it. My brother's liked it too. I think Westin will enjoy it as soon as he's old enough to notice!

Yes! My 5 year old son is usually the ONLY one who notices any new decorations, when I move something in the house or even when I get my haircut! :)

Yes, Shannon...as a mother of boys, now grown boys, they LOVED all my decorating! and funny, they would remember where I put stuff better than I did, and want it the same way the next year.
The oldest is now married, and was telling me the other day about their decorations they were putting up. Made my heart smile!

I love your style.

And yeah, I don't think boys notice that kinda stuff...but I could be wrong! ;)

I always look forward to your decorating posts! (o:

I love what you did with the first picture. I have some of those wooden balls at home and have been clueless what to do with them. Loved your idea!

Your decorations are so cute! I wanted to assure you that boys do notice these things. I have two boys ages 2 and 5 and they LOVE it when the decorations come out. My oldest remembers things from year to year and has begun to ask when certain things are going to appear. It is so much fun to decorate and it's even better when it's appreciated-it will make for some sweet memories for them.

Everything looks so cute as always! Yes, I bet he will love the decorations when he gets older. My 3 year old always notices anything new or different around the house. He is loving all the fall stuff at our house and also at my parents' house. It makes it even more fun to decorate when your child appreciates it. Just expect him to not be able to keep his hands off anything and want to redecorate for you!

Your decor is adorable! I can't believe this is only part of your stuff. I love how you have lamps everywhere, it really makes your home seem so warm and cozy. Take care!

I've been a follwer for many months now, but I think this might be my first time commenting (outside of giveaways, sorry!). Anyway, I love your "Keep Calm and Carry On" print and wondered where you got it. I am looking for one for our home and I love the worn, vintage-y feel (and colors) of yours. Hopefully you remember where you got it from. Thanks! Stop by my blog if you get a chance!

It all looks very cute. And YES boys notice. When I decorated the den this year my 6yo came home from school and said, "Momma - it all looks so amazing! I need to call daddy and tell him!" That kinda made my day!
