On to craft day.....A couple of weeks ago I got to spend the day with one of my best friends, Christina. She has three boys. Jay is 2, Logan is 1 and Noah is due in a few weeks. We had a blast talking and trying to keep up with our kids!
We got to talking about Halloween costumes and trick or treat bags and how we wanted a cute bucket or something for the boys to carry. She remembered seeing a bucket with cute Halloween ribbon it and thought that would be perfect. So today, while at a craft/play date, I made one for Westin.
I got everything at Hobby Lobby. The bucket was half off so it was only $2.25. I bought the vinyl because my friend Haley said she could print his name on her cricut. Awesome! Thanks Haley!
I went with a neutral color bucket and vinyl because I want to be able to change out the ribbon for different holidays. He can definitely use this for Easter too.
On the crafty note, I made this little tag the other day. I saw something similar at a local store and wanted to try to make it. They were using theirs as napkin rings which is a great idea. It is a canvas tag from the scrapbook store, a layer of scrapbook paper and a metal number. I chose the number 3 for our family of three. These could really be made with just layers of paper and a number sticker and used for a lot of things. It's always fun to try and think out of the box. :)
