Craft Day!

First of all, I just thought this picture was funny. Westin loves putting all his toys (or basically anything) on or around his head. He will balance a toy on his face and then laugh until someone comes over to him and takes it off. He'll put anything over his face-a washcloth, a hard toy, a stuffed animal, a blanket, burp cloth or whatever is close by. If it slips a little bit and he can see around it then he will move it back in place until he can't see. It cracks me up!

On to craft day.....A couple of weeks ago I got to spend the day with one of my best friends, Christina. She has three boys. Jay is 2, Logan is 1 and Noah is due in a few weeks. We had a blast talking and trying to keep up with our kids!
We got to talking about Halloween costumes and trick or treat bags and how we wanted a cute bucket or something for the boys to carry. She remembered seeing a bucket with cute Halloween ribbon it and thought that would be perfect. So today, while at a craft/play date, I made one for Westin.

I got everything at Hobby Lobby. The bucket was half off so it was only $2.25. I bought the vinyl because my friend Haley said she could print his name on her cricut. Awesome! Thanks Haley!

I went with a neutral color bucket and vinyl because I want to be able to change out the ribbon for different holidays. He can definitely use this for Easter too.

On the crafty note, I made this little tag the other day. I saw something similar at a local store and wanted to try to make it. They were using theirs as napkin rings which is a great idea. It is a canvas tag from the scrapbook store, a layer of scrapbook paper and a metal number. I chose the number 3 for our family of three. These could really be made with just layers of paper and a number sticker and used for a lot of things. It's always fun to try and think out of the box. :)

What a fun game Westin plays. Does he do the full-belly giggle with it, too? He's a cutie!

Speaking of cute - love the bucket AND the tag. You are such a clever girl. I would never have thought to keep it neutral so you could switch ribbons! And I love why you chose 3 and hung it on the nest cloche - perfect!

Amelia does the same thing with things over her face! It's so funny. She realized that we think it's funny and would lay there all day with something over her face, I think! LOL

Saw your msg on FB. We had a great time in Destin...you will too. It will just be a different type of fun. :) If your Dad was carrying a battery, it was definitely him! LOL And I definitely stared a hole through him. HAHA!

Cute bucket for Westin!
