Reese Catherine

Today our family is remembering Jason and Katie's daughter, Zach and Colson's sister, my parent's grand-daughter, my grand parent's great grand-daughter and my niece. Today would have been her first birthday.

But we can cry with hope
We can say goodbye with hope
'Cause we know our goodbye
Is not the end.

And we can grieve with hope
'Cause we believe with hope
There's a place where we'll see your face again
We'll see your face again.

We wait with hope
And we ache with hope
We hold on with hope
We let go with hope.

Praise the Lord there is no fear in death because of HIM. We know we will see Reese again and can look forward to that day. Psalm 68:20, "Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign LORD comes escape from death."
*With Hope lyrics by Steven Curtis Chapman

I cannot believe that it would have been her birthday. While I do not know Katie IRL, following her story has given me so much courage and inspiration!!!

Praying for all of you today. This brings back so many emotions. My sister gave birth to a son and a set of twins that never took an earthly breath but we know that they are alive and well with Jesus. When my Dad passed away last year, it was a comfort to all of us knowing that he was going to be in Heaven with his grandbabies. Little Evan would have been 10 years old last month, it is hard not to think of what might have been but we take comfort knowing that his purpose was to be our little heavenly angel.
May that peace cover your family today and always.
Sending big hugs to you sweetie! I know Reese will always be a very special part of your lives.

I know it's so very hard for all of you especially Katie. When we lost our baby, everyone said, at least you have (the newest child). Children are not replacements for one another like furniture, they are each special and continue to leave a hole in our hearts. All we can hold onto is the knowledge and faith that God will one day allow us to all be together as a family in Him in Heaven. Blessings to all of you today and you are always in my prayers. Hug that sweet baby. He's getting cuter every day and looks so full of personality!
