Signs of Baby

This little guy has changed our life and we couldn't be happier! (I love how he holds his hands while he eats or sleeps.)

He has also changed the way we live. We both lean towards perfectionism in our home so who would have thought we would have a baby swing in the dining room.

Or a play gym in the middle of our living room...

Or Gripe Water on our sink waiting for the next time we need it.

Pacifiers show up in random places mixed in with the decor. (Yes, the monitor is pink but it was mis-marked so we got it for a steal!)

One of my favorite changes are the tiny clothes and especially the tiny socks that are in the laundry now.

I absolutely love all the changes he has brought in our life. I wouldn't have it any other way!

Isn't it funny how they take over your home? I have the same exact thing in my house and my son is now 9 months old :)

Isn't it amazing how even when your house is dirty or filled with toys the babes have no idea and still loveyou just as much!

What great parents you will be (and are). Life does change when a baby arrives. You are so smart to realize it and enjoy it. Your little Westin is a lucky guy!

He looks so sweet! I knew you would LOVE being a mom! Kids sure have a lot of stuff...when Ben was little we always had 2 tables in our dinning room...the one to eat on and his Thomas the train table. It use to look so funny but those were the days.

Happy mommying

So precious! Connor and Westin were almost born on the same day :) I have lost soooo many socks in the laundry so far, they are so tiny! I LOVE the gripe water, it gets rid of those hiccups! Hope you are doing well and getting some SLEEP! LOL! Becky

Isn't it the most wonderful thing! People tried to tell me before I had my daughter how much you would love them and how they would change your life, but I just didn't know. And now, I can't hardly explain in words the love I have for her. I'm sure you feel the same way. It is truly a blessing for the Lord!!

Oh, one other thing... you think adult socks are hard to keep paired in the laundry... those little ones are really hard to keep up with. I've lost more baby socks and find them in the weirdest places... they are just so tiny! If anyone has any good ideas how to keep those little suckers together, let me know please!

A friend of mine who is pregnant with her 7th said to me not long ago "I had to give something up with each child." And she meant the "ideals" that she liked to live her life by, and was very sweet and positive about it, not negative at all. I agree, as a soon to be mom of 5, you adapt with each one, and each one means change in your life and home. Enjoy these early days, it goes by so very fast. He's a sweetie!

Love this! When you've waited so long for a baby - you more than welcome all the stuff that comes with them, including a not-so-tidy house. :)

Sweet post.

Have a great weekend, girl!

I can not tell you enough how ADORABLE he is! Just PRECIOUS. We had trouble getting pregnant and spent YEARS trying. During that time we put all of our energy into our home. Then came Logan. We wanted to spend all of our time with him. Even if it meant just watching him sleep!! They grow up way too fast. Who cares if your house gets a little dusty or the floor could use a mopping! Babies come first! ENJOY that sweetness.

Its been a while since I've been in to check your blog. Boy is he a cutie. I love the pictures of him with the green striped hat and lying on the shelf. With kids you have to throw perfectionism out the window, but boy the things babies need are cuter and cuter and seem to go with the decor!

I am so happy for you guys. If you don't mind me asking what do you use the Gripe Water for?

Shannon, he is so VERY cute and I've gotta tell ya, I miss little clothes, baby acoutrements and most of all "baby smells"! Enjoy it, and be ready for "baby and toddler clutter". But, don't worry, they grow fast! Cherish it!

PS Your house seems so neat, though, I was a mess from lack of sleep!

Those first months are so blissful! Sweet times! Funny how babies & toddlers slowly change your life with each stage... and slowly you lower your expectations of yourself and your house ;) Love the sweet picture of him!
