One Month

Yesterday Westin was one month! I cannot believe it. Here is what he has been up to:
-Pooping
-Eating
-Pooping
-Sleeping
-Pooping
-He loves his vibrating chair and play mat.
-Eating every 2.5-3 hours during the day and 4-5 hours during the night.
-He has slept the last two nights in his crib (he was in our room) and did great! I stared at the video monitor all night but at least he slept great. :)
-He is still wearing newborn clothes but sometimes I put him in 0-3 month because I get tired of seeing the same 5-6 outfits. :)
-We tried a bottle last night in celebration of his one month birthday and he did wonderful. He had bug eyes the whole time like he was thinking, "this is great!". It was hilarious. He went back to nursing after that like nothing had ever happened. I don't think we will have any bottle/nursing confusion. :)

Next week I will show you some projects I have been working on!

That is wonderful that he is going 4-5 hours at night! Glad he doesn't have any confusion with eating either! Rhett was a champ in the eating department, too. He never got confused, but I knew people that had trouble.

He is just so precious! Sounds like all is going well. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter.♥ Easter was Lexi's first big outing to Church after she was born (11 years ago...lol) since her birthday is the 13th of March.

He's adorable! We do the monthly pictures in his crib too! Sounds like you are doing a great job with putting him in his crib and nursing! I'm not sure where the last 4 months have gone so even though this might be a tough time with spring fever and wanting to get out just rest while you can.

Hi Shannon,
Congrats on your beautiful son! Just was reading about him eating well and taking a bottle so nicely. I am a firm believer in breastfeeding! It's so easy and FREE! Keep at it!! Sounds like things are going really well. I am also a firm believer in getting baby on a bottle, so you and your hubby can get a break! This is what I did with the first 2, and all went perfect. With my third, she was very small and I started supplementing with some formula once a day. Things went downhill in the breast department! My experience is that an occasional bottle isn't enough to discourage breastfeeding, but when bottles are given more frequently, babies can very easily start to prefer the bottle and will refuse the breast. OR in my experience, they will get very "rough" on mommy. NOT FUN! Just a few thoughts...hope I'm not being too pushy :) Good luck and enjoy that little guy!!
