Inexpensive Organization

Remember this picture from waaaay back in July? I started this project of painting the tubs but then never took an after picture. I didn't even tell you what I was going to do with them! I painted a chalkboard square on each one and used them in the garage.

These shelves just had everything shoved on them so I put the bins out here and put like items inside them. Now everything has a place and we know exactly what is inside each tub. I could actually use some more! Now, if I could just get Cody to put things back inside the tub once he takes it out....

Nothing much going on here! I'm 32 weeks and other than my swollen feet, I feel good. I can't believe I will have a baby in probably less than 8 weeks! So crazy and so exciting! Haha. I will do a post soon on how I made the nursery curtains because I have had a lot of questions about them. We are supposed to have an ice storm and snow storm tonight and Friday so hopefully we won't lose power. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Wow - you are already at 32 weeks! Time has flown (which is easy for me to say - the last part seems to take forever, I remember).

Great idea with the storage bins too!

The bins look great! I need to find cute, fun ways to organize. Otherwise, nothing gets organized :)

I am on an organizing kick lately too!

These next few weeks will seem like they just drag on, but then you'll blink and he'll be here! I feel ya on the swollen feet! You could push on my foot with a finger and it would make an indentation kind of like playdo- gross!

Stay warm! WE are preparing for the storm, too.
If you figure out how to get Cody to put things back in the tub, will you let me know? We have the same issue at our house.

Yes, hope you don't lose power along with us as well. School is letting out today at 1:00 due to ice/snow storms that are supposedly coming...nothing is happening yet.
Cute tubs girl, and quite clever. Chalkboard paint is one of the best decorating inventions EVER! I'll be using it to paint my boys closets in their room. They share a room, but have seperate closets...which; is in my opinion a clever invention in and of itself.
Clever is my word of the day! How clever of me. Ha, I think I must be really bored right now or something.

Great minds think alike. lol I posted a similar post on Wed. It feels so good to get organized again, actually better than before the holidays. We had so many new ornaments, new tree, etc. I had to regroup things.
Can't believe it's only 8 wks. till Westin meets his mommy and daddy. Glad you're feeling so well. God is good!

This is a WONDERFUL idea. I may have to copy it because I am the most unorganized person in the world. I can't believe you are already at 32 weeks....it won't be long. I can't wait to be able to see pictures of your precious baby. Hope you don't lose power either.

It looks great. 10 bajillion times better than my garage, that's for sure!

Make sure you're taking lots of time to sit on the couch and just enjoy and admire your baby tummy. I miss being pregnant so much--even though I was sick so much!

Your bins are great! I can't believe you are already that far along. It will fly by now.♥

At this point so far, we have only had pouring down rain in our area. We are now below freezing though, so tonight it is supposed to freeze over. School has already been canceled for tomorrow. Our winds are pretty strong too so I am hoping we keep our power and I'll hope you do too.

This looks awesome! Question about the paint...have you touched anything up with paint that has been stored in the garage. We've been painting out house and I was thinking I needed to find a place inside to store it. Thanks!

Oh my gosh, that is SUCH a genius idea!! I always tape up labels with packing tape. They.don't.stick. It drives me batty when they fall off after a week or two. This is SUCH a great idea!!

You're almost there! :)

This is such a great idea, Shannon. Our garage needs serious organization this spring after it warms up outside! We never organized it after we moved this past summer. I will definitely have to remember this.

P.S. Do you watch the Bachelor? Have you seen any episodes this season? Corrie really reminds me of you. Has anyone else said that?

Thanks for posting that! I like the size of the squares. I'll have to add it to my list. I tried the No Sew strip and it's working! My material is pretty thick but it works good if my damp cloth is really damp :)

This is smart. All of my stuff is stored in tubs but with tape on the top with what's in it. :)
