Herb Crates

First of all, THANK YOU for all of your sweet comments on my last post! They meant the world to me. That was so sweet of you lurkers to comment too. ;) Some of y'all felt like you knew all along and that was fun to hear. Some of you know but that post had been a long time coming. Sometimes I even thought I would never get to write it the words "I'm pregnant", but God has been so good and we are so thankful. Sometimes I still can't believe it! I pray all the time for some of you girls that I know are trying to have a baby, either through adoption, infertility treatments, surrogacy or waiting on the Lord. I have been there and will never forget our journey. Sometimes it seemed so overwhelming so I know how you feel and feel like we have a connection.

Now, on to some home decor.....

I recently ordered the Herb Crates from Lettered Cottage Home. I first saw these on Layla's blog, The Lettered Cottage. I loved them in her kitchen....actually I love her whole house but her kitchen is beautiful. To see them in her kitchen you can go here. I was so excited to see she was selling them so I quickly ordered some.

Here is the before wall in my kitchen:

Here is the after:

I placed some white platters in the largest one.

I had been wanting a way to display some silver serving pieces that I had so I put them in this one. The monogrammed server is from our wedding.

I had originally wanted all four boxes on the same wall like Layla had hers but my wall wasn't really big enough. So I moved the smaller one on the opposite wall with a small white platter in it.

I'm so glad I found The Lettered Cottage and The Lettered Cottage Home. I bet you will not be able to resist the great items in her shop either! :)

Way cute! And, we waited a long time for Rhett too. Sometimes it seemed as though everyone I knew was pregnant and it was so devastatingly hard. I knew that if I kept my faith, we would have our own someday and the Lord didn't disappoint! I am excited for you guys!

They look great there. Love what you have in them. She did a wonderful job.

Hope your feeling better. What I thought would take us 9 months took us 8 1/2 years!! Well worth the wait, but oh it was hard every month and lots of tears. It is something you will never forget.

Lots of firsts to experience now and it is going to be so much FUN!!

Shannon, love your finds from Layla's store. I love her blog. You always decorate so cute.

I'm so happy for your news. I have said several prayers that all goes well. I've never had a hard time getting pregnant Thank God but I've seen so many moms being a nurse in the Newborn Nursery and NICU that have tried for years and years and finally get their miracle baby. It's such a wonderful experience to be a part of when they hold their little ones for the firs time and are truly grateful for the gift God has given them. My mom wanted 4 kids but they tried 5 yrs. for me with clomid and then another 10 yrs. for my little sister then after her they tried abit longer for a 3rd and nothing. People use to ask her why she waited so long between me and Lindsay and she said she didn't God did. She reminds people that God has his own perfect timing regardless of what we want.

I have loved those herb crates for a while as well! They look great in your kitchen.

We went through infertility treatment for five years before I was finally able to have my oldest child...so many things were "wrong" and we had tried so many different treatments, and then we finally hit on the right treatment and VOILA! I guess my body figured it out after that, because now I have four. What a blessing they are, and how grateful I am! And how HAPPY I am for you!!! I've been thinking about it all week. Congratulations!!
