Baby Post

First of all, y'all came up with a LOT of W names-22 of them! These were the W names you came up with and believe it or not, no one guessed our name. :)

Wyatt (by far the most guessed!)
Wylder
Wylie
Wesley
Weston
Winston (Win)
Walter
Wilbur (ha!)
Wade
Warren
Watson
Wilson
Walton
West (cute!!)
Warnock
Walker
Warrick
Winchester
Windsor
Witaker
Warner
Wilton

Should I keep it going by giving you another hint? I think so. The second letter is "e". Any guesses? I think some of you were confused and thought we were announcing we were having a boy. We won't find out what we are having until mid-October. I don't have a feeling one way or the other. :)

Okay, moving on. Believe it or not, I have already gotten some baby gifts! This has been so fun! This photo album is actually the first thing I have bought since I found out I was pregnant. No, I didn't get it at a flea market but of course it was on sale! It was actually 75% off at a book store.

You might have to zoom in on this cross but I love it!! One of my best friends, Christina, gave it to me. A bird! How perfect. This is one of the first things I will be hanging in the nursery.
Katie's mom gave me this cute toy and soft white blanket. I love baby blankets!

My mom gave me this little froggy lovie. It is so soft!

Katie gave me this birdie burp cloth. It says, "Tweet Baby". She knows me well! I actually bought this frame probably 2 years ago. It has part of a Bible verse on it and says, "I prayed for this child." I prayed I would have a picture to put in it one day. I can't wait to use it!

Hello!

I am a lurker that just LOVES your blog. My guess is "Wells" for your baby name.

It immediately came to mind because I have a friend that just named her baby boy that.

congrats!

Can't wait to find out what you are having and what you name the baby - I know it will be so cute either way!

Is it Weldon or Wentworth? just guessing, so fun!!

It's so hard to avoid buying baby stuff. I bought a blue blanket for my new little blessing (I am 15 weeks) soon after I found out I was pregnant. Baby stuff is so fun to buy!

I love reading your blog and think its funn that you are giving hints!! Could it be Weaver, Webb, Welch, Wellsley, or Wesson?

3LittleByrds said...

I'm gonna guess Wells as I've seen that in our nursery where I work several times and love it. The other guess is Werner. This is fun.

Lisa C said...

My other guesses have been taken already, so I'm going with Webster. Although, I really like Weaver (Tori's guess).
I'm pregnant, too, 10 weeks! Picking out a name is so much fun! Love you baby stuff!

Love all of your stuff. My guess is Wesley or Wes.

AdoptedbyGrace said...

How 'bout Welsh? or Welch? You seem like a good English girl to me! Ha.

julie & joe said...

Hmmm....no guess from me. I didn't get to pick out a first name because Aaron was almost 2 when he was placed with us for adoption and I felt like it was part of his identity. We did change his middle name to my maiden name.

I hope you are feeling well!

bethmorgan said...

I'm delurking to say Wells or Webb. Can't wait to find out! Conrats on the baby too!

Jeni said...

Wendal? Just wait baby and stuff will take over the house. Wait until they turn one and then you will have toys everywhere! For a few years we had two tables in our dinning room...one for eating and a Thomas the train one for playing on...it's all so much fun.

Weylan?

Cute finds! And they'll work for either a boy or a girl. I'm going to guess Weston :)

That is a lot of guesses, so I don't know what else to add. Can't wait to hear if it is a boy or girl.

I'm guessing Wells, Weslyn, Weston, or Westlyn. So much fun! I kept my baby's name a surprise. It drove everyone nuts, but it was so much fun. So happy to hear you are expecting.

Fun gifts!

Okay...I love the guessing game. I went online to http://baby-names.familyeducation.com/browse/letter/ and looked up boys names that start with the letters, 'We' and here's what they had. (I removed the names that were already listed that you nixed.) Here's what was left:

Webb
Weber
Webley
Webster
Wedan
Wedel
Welborne
Welby
Welce
Welch
Welcome
Weldon
Welford
Weller
Welles
Wells
Welsh
Welti
Welton
Welwyn
Wen
Wenceslaus
Wendel
Wendell
Wenzel
Werner
Wes (I doubt you'll use this, since Wesley wasn't the name)
Wess (See above comment)
Wessely (See above comment)
Westbrook (Probably not, beause "West" was a no)
Westby
Westcott
Westleigh
Weston (Probably not, beause "West" was a no)
Wetherby

It's cool looking up the meaning of names, as I have a feeling you already of done this. Hmmm....I'm thinking based on that, you will go with:

Wedan (God has heard)

But I like this name too:

Welford (meaning "From the springs") It would sound very good with your last name.

Thanks for letting me write a book! This was fun!

I'm guessing Wendell (but I hope that's not really the name) :)

Katie said...

Okay so I was guessing "Waylon" (as in Waylon Jennings) the other day when you said "W" for a boy's name. Hahahahahaha! But now that you've said "We-" hmmmm....Webster, Wellsley, Wellington, Wesley, Wexford, Wendall, Wells.....what a preppy list I've come up with. I cannot wait to see what y'all are having!!!!!! I hope you are feeling well. I think and say prayers for you all the time, Shannon! SO EXCITED FOR YOU! (And just so you know, Waylon is still up for grabs...)

Jennifer said...

I thought Wells, too! :) I cannot wait to hear what name you are thinking about. After all this by name talk, you will probably end up having a girl! Haha!

Well now you did say" It also has a "W" on one side which could possibly be the first letter of our boy name" Guess that is why we all picked boys names

I say Wendell or Webster or Wendy for a girl.

Iknow you are soo happy..what joy you have! I didn't know you dealt with infertility and I am happy that God has answered your prayers. Is the name Welch (pronounced welsh)?

Angie said...

It is so fun to get all kinds of cute baby stuff! I have a feeling you'll get tons!

Richella said...

Welch, maybe? My husband's paternal grandfather was named James Welch. When one of his daughters had twin boys, she named one James and the other Welch.

Now I'm wondering what your maiden name is. Webster? Wells? Webb?

So glad you're feeling well!
