Limelights and Blogging Friends

I cannot tell you enough how excited I am about my Limelights! I will definitely be getting more next spring. I was so surprised at how many blooms it has this first year. I love the color too. Katie at Harrington House said her plants are 3 years old and over 5'8" tall! She said one of hers has close to 100 blooms.
In the back of the picture you might be able to see my "No Soliciting" sign. It works so good! I have seen several people walk up to the door and turn around and walk away. :)

Look at these goodies that Sherri from Sherri's Southern Style sent me:

She has been such a faithful reader and commenter. She is one of the first people I met in blogland. She sells Southern Living and sent me some fun products. The funny thing is, the day before her package arrived I was thinking I needed a napkin holder! I love this silver one.

I also love these ornaments. These will look great on my Christmas tree. I love the subtle colors.
She also sent this fun table topper. The colors are perfect in my kitchen. I love how you have the option of just using the solid rust one or the sheer buttery yellow one or both together. Sherri, you made my day. I love everything! Thank you so much!

you know what? I have pretty much loathed hydrangeas for years..since I was a child. We had two humongous bushes by our back door growing up, and I just thought they were hidious. Just never liked them..and really never did years after..But these limelights are gorgeous! I must look into them next spring. My mom would really like them. I do like the snowball flower that is similar to a hydrangea too. You are allowing these flowers to grow on me, girl.
I love SLAH..have several items. That was so nice of Sheri!

I sold SLAH for the longest...my house is full of it...love it! I'm actually picking up an order from a friend of mine today. HA! My sister has that table cover and loves it.

Love the limelights...I would be cutting those and putting them in the house every day!

I need one of those no soliciting signs, too. I had three different men come to the door in one day last week. I didn't anwer, of course.

Such nice friends to send you great little gifts!

I've been wanting to plant hydrangeas since we moved into this house, but I don't know the best place to put them so the survive and don't wither and die. From what I've heard, they aren't easy to grow in the TX heat. I have one that I have in a pot in my kitchen. I'm skeered to put it outside. ;)

Love the limelights. Wonder if they grow well up north here? I have a hydrangea climbing vine which, after three years, just produced two little sad blooms this summer. I also have another hydrangea bush that also looks sickly. I'm going to have to look into the limelights. Wonder if it's your southern soil?
