Heirloom Party

It's an Heirloom Party! Marie is hosting this fun party and I cannot wait to see every one's heirlooms. When we moved into our new house 4 years ago, my Grandparents gave us their dining room furniture.

I love the French lines of the set and the color actually works well with our chocolate walls. I think it was bought in the 60's. The only thing I would change is the gold design on the cabinet doors. I think I could scrape it off if I just took the time. I love that it came from my Grandparents.

Something I would love to pass down to my children would be this green cabinet. Cody and I bought it our first Christmas together. Supposedly it is an old dry goods cupboard. I love the color and the lock on the doors. Be sure to stop by Marie's blog to check out more heirlooms!

I love that you have your grandparents' table. I am so sentimental, and I hope to have things like that to be able to pass down to my children and grandchildren someday!

Shannon, I just love your home. It is so warm and inviting. I think I've told you before, but I'm a little jealous of that green cabinet!!! Can I be your child and "inherit" it?!? LOL

Happy almost weekend!

That green cabinet is fabulous and I'm sure it will be much appreciated by your future children!

Our guest bed and D's bedroom furniture were passed down to us from Howie's grandparents. I've repainted all of it but it's still neat to have as an heirloom.

I love having pieces from my family in my home. I did have my childhood kitchen table but it had seen better days so now we eat at a new one without all the character.

Hi Shannon, I wanted to tell you that I started a blog about my soon to be journey as a newlywed that hopefully will read by fellow bloggers who share my values. Unfortunately, I started reading some blogs of "newlyweds" that had a lot of crude tones to them and that's just not me. So, I hope you'll add me (yet AGAIN) to your Bloglines. - Cari
