Vacation Finds

What is a vacation without some shopping?! Cute little 'ole Zach hindered our shopping a tiny bit but we were still able to go to a few stores. Besides the clothes that I bought, here are some things I found. My mom and I were able to go in an antique store while Zach and my dad waited in the car. This was a nice shop. Not the hunt and dig type stores I am used to so I didn't find any spectacular deals but I did buy this bottle.
I have no idea what it is for and I really do not even think it is old but I loved the writing on it and the top. My first thought was to put some long stems in it but I could also use it at a party for ice water or lemonade. What would you do with it?

My other find was this silver gravy boat. I loved the curves and scroll-y handle.

I put it in the guest bathroom with q-tips in it.

While Zach was napping we got to run to Old Time Pottery. I love this store! You are so lucky if you live near one. I can always find something there.

My mom and I both got one of these jam jars. It is so much prettier than setting out the jelly jar from the grocery store. It was only $1.99.

We also got one of these cute little plates for a dollar. I haven't decided if I am going to hang mine somewhere or use it as a little tray.
My mom spotted this bird mug for a dollar. I don't drink coffee or use mugs so I will probably use it for holding pens or a small bouquet of flowers. It was too cute to pass up.

Nice finds. I think that bottle is used for sparkling lemonade imported from France. I don't remember the name but I've bought some before at our grocery store. It's really good!

Such fun to browse with mom. I have never been to OT Pottery, but found out we have one relatively close...I'm going to need to go have fun (after yard sale season). :)

Cute stuff!

We just took a vacation and there was an Old Time Pottery in that town. I loved it and just learned one is opening up where I live. Can't wait.

You should get a bottle every year, or from every place you go during the year.

My mom would LOVE OT Pottery.

Great finds! The silver gravy boat is beautiful. I have several OTP's closeby, and they are great. I like to go pick up glass goblets or plain glass dishes when they are on sale for like a dollar each when we are having a lot of people over. And I have found some great deals on decorator fabric there.

Love the vacation finds. You could make a flavored olive oil like garlic dill and see a twig of dill and garlic floating in your custom oil. I was also going to say fill it with coffee beans but if you don't like coffee...

I do love that bottle. Not sure what I'd do with it, but it's awesome. Great idea for the q-tips too. Never been to old time pottery, but love that jelly jar. Everything you found is awesome! Thanks for sharing.

I love your finds! There is a Old Time Pottery on the northside of Atlanta and I need to go. Part of my family is on a road trip out west and they travelled through Arkansas (near your neck of the woods) and I told them they had to stop at Oops. I don't know if they did or not but I sure would have!

I love your finds. I have no clue what you could put in the bottle, so I am really no help.
The camera is a panasonic Lumix DMC with a Leica lense. I LOVE it.Martin's dad left it for me when he passed away. So it is extra special.

We have an Old Time Pottery close by but I have not been there forever. I suddenly feel the need to go!
Great little treasures you found!

Wow! You are so creative. I love all of your treasures, but wouldn't know what to do with them, so I would have walked away. I never in a million years would have thought to use a gravy boat as a Q-Tip holder, but it is perfect and so pretty. I wish you lived in Idaho so you could go shopping with me and tell me what to buy. Ha Ha. : ) I'm glad you had a nice vacation.

You always find the cutest things....have to say, the mug your mom found is my favorite - so cute!! And you don't even use mugs:)

That mug would be a great candle holder. You could either find one to sit in there, or buy a candle kit at Michaels or Hobby Lobby and fill it yourself.

Well, darn it....I can add the Old Time Pottery store to Hobby Lobby, The Christmas Shoppe, and HomeGoods.......Good grief...I don't actually live in some remote area of the world, but we don't have any of the good stuff....Darn it all.

I LOVE Old Time Pottery but haven't been able to shop one since our move from FL. We are in Hawaii now and we're lucky to get any mainstream stores over here. Anyhow, just wanted to stop by and say hello and let you know that I am having a party and a giveaway over at my place. The party starts next week but there is something you can do to help spread the word in the meantime and enter for the giveaway at the same time...everyone loves free, right? I do! (smile) Anyhow, when you get time, hop on over and get the details...I would love to hear from you and have you follow. Okay, have a great weekend...

So, for a free trip to West Palm Beach will you come decorate our house? I adore your style and your house looks amazing. It seems like everyone who walks in feels at home and comfortable.
I struggle becuase I see one thing I like and can't picture other things to go with it. Like I need to do one whole room at a time.

You have such wonderful luck w/ your finds!
The gravy boat is cool..you can also put some soaps in it (like handmade ones from Simply Soap, LOL). In the little jelly jar, put the q-tips. Just an idea. Love the bottle too :)
