More Flea Market Finds

We took an impromptu trip Thursday night to my parent's house. Cody worked in Little Rock on Friday and my Mom and I went to several antique malls. I know it seems like this blog has turned into a "flea market finds" blog but I have been in the mood to hunt! There just doesn't seem to be a lot going on in the way of projects over here.....we are just enjoying a lazy summer so my posts maybe sporadic.

This time I remembered to take pictures of my Mom's finds! She found some great things.
She got this silver tray for $1 and went ahead and bought the hanger for a $1 too. She is going to paint the center of it with chalkboard paint.
I love this basket she got for $3 and the glass measuring cup for $2.25. Look how cute that little jar is too. We have no idea what it was used for but it is just so unique. It was $1.25.
Her last find was this cute stool. It was $8. Once she decides where she is going to put it she is going to repaint it. She just stuck it by this chair but I think it looks great there!

Somehow I always come out the winner for most things bought, but that is okay. Prepare for picture overload.
I could not pass up this vase engraved with a "D". It was $3.50. When we got to Little Rock my Dad had these roses waiting for me. :) They look great in my new vase.
I found another wooden hanger to add to my collection. I cannot remember how much I paid but I think it was around $3.
I found four more juice cups (the ones in the back with the stars) and this wire rack to hold them in. Three of the juice cups were .75 each and one was .44. I cannot remember how much the wire rack was............I'm thinking it was around $5.
We hit the baby cup jackpot while we were shopping. We found this one for the most at $7.50.
I thought this one was pretty and feminine. It was $4.95.
I thought the teddy bears were so cute on this one. It came with a matching plate all for $2.95.
I have NO idea what I am going to do with this tray but I loved the shape and thought $4 was a great deal. I do not like the brass so I'm thinking spray paint and maybe a monogram......
I bet you can guess what I am going to do with this $4 silver tray!

You both had a lot of great finds. I never find anything on sale... but then again I don't do much flea market shopping either.

LOVE all the flea market finds! Thanks for sharing! MY fave is the wire juice glass holder. Silver trays are getting harder to find here in the midwest....

Oh you both made out great! I have been cleaning out my parents home since they both passed away recently...we will be doing an estate sale with the items I am not keeping, and it makes me realize that although I am sad I can't keep it all, the people that come and buy the items will treasure it in their own homes...just like you do with your special finds! There was an old wooden hanger with the name of a cleaners in Hawaii and I thought of you since you had mentioned hangers before! Happy Summer to you! :-)

GREAT STUFF!!! I don't mind a bit that you are posting lots of finds lately. So fun to look at your stuff...esp. since I don't get to go as often as I'd like now that I have TWO kids to handle. :o) I am falling over myself for the "feminine" silver cup...the second one pictured with the beaded base...gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Some white roses would be pretty in that. And your daddy put some roses in your vase??? How sweet is that!

You always find the greatest deals! I bet you would love all the little shops up where my Nannie lives. She lives near Mountain View, Arkansas or "up in the sticks". But, Mountain View is such a lovely town & they have all kinds of old antique stores!

It's fun to see your finds. Thanks for the chalkboard paint idea.

You posted a blog about that a few months ago and I used that idea to do a project for the Kindergarten Class at our Christian School. (Didn't use a silver platter, but you gave me some good ideas)!!!

Shannon, I love your blog. What awesome finds, too. I love what you do with the silver trays. We just moved into a new home, and I saved a spot for a silver tray chalkboard whenever I can find one. Do you just find them at antique/flea markets, or do you ever find them elsewhere? I have 4 kids and can't exactly take them into little stores with lots of breakables. I'd just love to find one at a decent price.
