Happy Monday

I had a great blogging break but I'm happy to be back! Thank you for all of your sweet comments. We had a wonderful anniversary this past weekend. I still cannot believe it has been five years. That is crazy to me. It goes so fast! Anyways, my parents came up for the weekend to hang out and for Mother's Day. They brought some fun anniversary gifts too.

Ever since I said I wanted to collect silver baby cups my mom has been on the hunt. She found these and gave them to me for our anniversary. Obviously they are more for me than Cody. :)
My parents also brought some anniversary flowers. Some pink peonies from their backyard. They smell wonderful!
While my mom and I were out shopping, my dad bought us a hummingbird feeder. I've never had one before and I love it! It is so fun to watch.

Cody brought home these flowers for me too. He also got me some Sour Patch Kids. My favorite! He knows me well.

My mom and I found some fun flea markets so I'll show you my finds on Wednesday. Also, I'll be letting you know what we decided on the front door......I know you are waiting on pins and needles! :) Ha! Just Kidding. Y'all gave some great advice.

Oh those peonies!!! I'm always on the edge between those and hydrangeas as my favorite flower. I have 6 peony bushes at home that were on the brink of blooming that I'm sure I'm missing (I'm at momma and daddy's this week) and it's KILLING me! I hope someone is enjoying them since I can't... :o( I'll just have to enjoy your's that you posted! I have some silver baby cups, too. I love them! What a sweet, happy bouquet from your husband!

I can't wait to see the door...
(Is it black?? Is it black??? I'm kinda hoping so! I've seen that done before and I like it. I'm sure whatever you did, it will look incredible... your ideas always work!)

So glad you had a wonderful anniversary! Ours is next month--3 years. I'm so excited. I love this time of year. Birthdays, anniversaries, great weather, BBQ's, end of the school year.......sigh.

Love the silver baby cups.

Little "tip" from an OLD hummingbird feeder lady - - - don't bother with the expensive, colored feeder solution mixes. 1 part sugar to 4 parts water, no food coloring is the BEST mix to use. Hubby just stirs it up in a glass by the sink, then pours it in the feeder. The red food coloring isn't really very good for their little beaks.

Also - - - you need to change the juice about every three to four days or it will sour. Hubby does it more often in the heat of the summer.

Have fun!!! They are AMAZING birds to watch.

Oh, I just adore peonies! Especially pink ones! They are one of my absolute favorite flowers. Sadly, they don't grow well here in Texas. It's too hot. But growing up in Ohio, I would get so very excited when the peony bush bloomed and would usually have a vase of lush peonies in my room shortly after! I love their light scent too. Glad you had a good anniversary!

The Sour Patch Kids made me giggle. DH knows my candy of choice is Jelly Belly.

Sour Patch Kids---that's funny and it reminds me of when my Sara was in high school. She loves those things, too. She ate so many of them, she had sores on her tongue---and she still loves them!
BTW~ I love the silver mugs.

I have silver baby cups, too. I make flower arrangements in them when I give baby showers and mix them in with larger arrangements in crystal vases.
