9:30 AM Monday

We were hoping for some good news but Katie seems to be doing a little worse today. Her head pain is still extreme and the pain meds do not seem to be working well. Her neurologist said she should have been much better after 3 days of antibiotics so he thinks that they are missing something. They are going to do another spinal tap today to try and find what they are missing.

One of her IV's has already collapsed so they are hoping to get a PIC line in today. Since it is Memorial Day they are not sure if the PIC team will come in today or tomorrow.

Her oxygen levels have dropped so she is on oxygen now.

Her OB Doctor says Reese's heartbeat is still good so that is good news.

Please pray that the Doctor's will be able to find out what the cause is ASAP so they can begin treating her more effectively.

Thank you for praying and for all of your encouraging comments.

Hey Shannon. I just found your blog through Kelly's! Please let Katie know that Josh and I have been praying for her and baby Reese. I hate that she is going through this. She's in my MOPS group and I have really enjoyed getting to know her this year. Please let me know if I can do ANYTHING at all for them. I'll be checking back for updates.

Just said a prayer for her. I hope they are able to find out what is wrong soon. Poor thing, I don't know how she is tolerating the pain. God bless her.

Praying for Katie and for your family, Shannon! Praying that the doctors will have wisdom in figuring out the issue and how to properly treat it and that Katie's pain will subside even before they figure it out! And of course for the health of Reece!

Hi...I don't even remember how I found your blog but I am sure it's divine appointment. I am going to send this out to other believers whom I know to be prayer warriors. I am in full agreement with you for Katie. That the God will place wise doctors in her path, that either the cause of all of this is determined or that God will provide a miraculous healing in Katie's body. The enemy is a liar and he will not and cannot take Katie or her baby girl...God has too many great things in store for her and her family, I am sure of it. I plead the blood of Jesus over Katie. The blood that was shed hundreds of years ago NOT just for the remission of our sins but for healing...the healing power of Jesus' blood is enough. I will check your blog often and I am expecting great things and a wonderful testimony!
