Flea Market Finds

I hope everyone had a good Easter. Ours was wonderful with trips to see both of our families. After I potted those ferns for our moms I thought one would look good in our kitchen. So I put one in an urn I already had. (I took all of these pictures at night so they are really dark)

Every year my mom says that this is the last year for Easter baskets and every year we still get one. :) This cute little teapot was in mine.

On Saturday I got to go to a couple of flea markets with Cody's mom and found some fun things. I saw a fun chalkboard project over at the Phillips Phamily Phive and had been wanting to give it a try. She used a much bigger tray but until I find a big one I got this little one for $2.00. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I finally found some floral frogs too! I first saw these over at Cherry's Jubilee and have been on the look out ever since. I found one last summer but it was $20.00 and that is a little much in my book. I got all three of these for $8.00. I love the green one. I'll find a place for them and let you know what I end up doing with them.

This little baby cup was only $2.00 and might have been my favorite find. I have seen some cute things done with silver baby cups so I am trying to start a collection. At Christmas time I saw someone use them in their garland and I think they look cute hanging from a chandelier at a baby shower. This one is not silver but pewter but I could not resist the price or the detail. You might have to click on the picture to see but it is a clock and there is a place for lbs, oz and date. You can engrave the hands of the clock to say the time. I didn't understand why there was a bird on the handle until I realized it was a stork! :)

***I was having a little problem with my blog button this past weekend but the wonderful Faith fixed it for me. So if it is not showing up on your page you might have to grab the new code. Also, if you are still having problems commenting try a few of these tricks. You might have to refresh my page a couple of times to get all the old cookies cleared out. Also, if you are reading from a reader or bloglines and click over from that you might have to click on my whole page instead of the current post. Several people have told me that clicking refresh a couple of times has worked. Thanks!! :)

Girl, I used my chalkboard tray last weekend! I'm curious to see how yours turns out since it is oval. Since mine had straight edges, it was pretty easy. I know they also sell the paint in a can, which might be easier than spraying.

Love all the finds, but I especially love the ferns. I'm asking for plants for mother's day!

Love your finds in this post and one a few back. You've got a good eye for spotting neat things at good prices!
Glad you had a good Easter and happy belated bday to your hubby.
The blog looks great!
Where did you end up hanging your no soliciting sign? We have that problem here, too, and I'm at a loss. On the door knob, someplace on the porch? Let me know what works for you...
Happy Terrific Tuesday! xo Les

I can't remember the last time I got an Easter basket. Boo hoo! :)

Cute finds! I collect antique floral frogs, but the glass ones. I use them in projects. I'll have to post some pics of what I do with them on my blog one of these days.

I love that your Mom still does Easter Baskets! My Mom did the same until Benjamin was born...SO the "big kids" no longer get a basket! :) Now, she goes way overboard buying for my children. I may have to post a pic of the Baby Nay Outfit that was in Georgia-Kate's basket! Can't wait to see the chalkboard.

I have a teapot like the one you got in your Easter basket! Mine is a soft sagey green, though, and as of two weeks ago it's missing its top, thanks to my daughter's ever-climbing cat . . . I guess I'll have to use it now for a flower pot!

What great finds! I bought a baby cup at a yard sale last year. It was just so divine. I love the stork on yours.

Ooooh, I love all your new finds! I painted some platters and a great big silver tray over Christmas with red chalkboard paint. I loved using the red chalkboard paint for something different. It's hanging in my kitchen. I want to paint some other white platters I have with some other colors, too, maybe for Amelia's new room. I always just wonder what in the world to write on them...hahahaha!
