I Cannot Get Enough

That is, I cannot get enough white platters! If I ever see a white platter on clearance or at a really good price I cannot pass it up. I found this one at Signed Sealed Delivered for 75% off because of a tiny chip. Tiny chips and cracks do not bother me.

A couple of weeks ago I won a giveaway on View From The Windshield. She sells Uppercase Living and gave away a gift certificate. I was so excited! They have sooooo many cool products that it took me awhile to decide what I wanted.

I love decorating for Birthdays so I chose this B-day saying. They have so many great colors too. I chose a light green that will most likely go with so many colors. I knew it would be perfect on this clearance platter. Thank you Julie! I love it! I know she would be happy to help you order something if you wanted too.

This is so great!!! I have a plain blue plate on my plate wall that I wanted to put a vinyl initial on. You just gave me the inspiration to do it!

How cute! Love that you took something that most people wouldn't buy and made something lovely out of it!

Very cute...my husband tells me if something says something, I buy it. True...if I saw that plate I'd buy it just because it said something.

I love that idea. You are so right it doesn't have to be perfect you aren't eating off of it. It is really a beautiful platter. I love the vinyl lettering on it! Thanks for sharing your ideas!

What a cute idea. It turned out great. I just bought some white plates but will probably just use them for a tablescape. They were only a $1 each. Can't beat that.

That's a clever idea, and a great way to dress up a plate! I think the green will look good with anything!

I love platters too. I have gobs of them, but most of them are put up in the cabinet because I just don't have room for them. I used to always find good ones at thrift stores, but it seems like the past year or so, there are slim pickings on platters at the T.S. Or, if they do have them, they are priced pretty high.

You are doing a great job to boost the economy, even if it was on clearence..

That's such a great idea! Love the lettering.
I have a similar plate and I use a dry erase marker to write the 'menu' on it (posted about it last Thurs 2/26).

you know why I love white dishes? when I was a little girl, my grandparents had only white dishes. I remember watching my grandfather splash his coffee into his saucer to drink those first hot sips. we all ate off her white plates and used the white bowls but the thing that stands out in my mind is those cup and saucer combos. they always used cup and saucers--no mugs in their house. ***sigh*** great memories.....
The fluted edge reminds me of a pie plate. I really love the vinyl decal---really cute!

I love white dishes too & everyone needs a celebration plate!

In the pictures, the plate looks yellowish. Did you paint it or is it actually white. I'm asking because I recently read about someone spray painting their plates. I'm in the process of collecting different plates now to do a "plate wall." I'll be painting all of my plates white.

Did I read about the plate painting from you!?!

Very cute! I recently went to an Uppercase Living party; it was so fun. I will take a picture of what I bought and made with mine and post it on my blog! I decided to use vinyl letters/sayings from Hobby Lobby to be less expensive for other things. Of course it limits you a lot but it's worked. I stole your idea for a glass jar to hold my laundry soap and I put black lettering on it from HL.

I have to say I love the brown! It's beautiful but the blue definitely brings with it a sense of spring and warm weather :) Plus - for so cheap - you can't go wrong. I love Marshalls and TJ Maxx!
