Organizing the Pantry
I have been cleaning out and organizing anything I can get my hands on lately. I started with the pantry. These pictures will hopefully inspire you to clean out something you have been wanting to for a long time. It honestly took about 20 minutes. I just tossed out the trash and expired items and rearranged the items I wanted to keep. No special bins and pretty labels in here. I just used what I had.

I love the chalk board door. Such a neat idea. I had seen that kind of paint used on jars, but never a door. I am going to have to check into that and start creating.

I wish I had a true pantry. We added some cabinets the are not very deep so they are pretty easy to keep organized.

Looks heavenly!! Our pantry (with new shelving) is on "The List" for this week. It's in major need of attention!

oh yes...the pantry is on my big to do list. I stockpiled with some of my coupons this week and now it's a disaster...need to get to it. :)

I have been looking at my pantry thinking it needs some TLC, but never really in the mood. Maybe this weekend I will get it accomplished. I have been wanting to do the chalkboard on our pantry doors too.. we have the same shaped door and I thought it was such a great idea. If there are any tips about doing this project please let me know. I will be doing in couple of weeks. Is there a special kind of brand of chalkboard paint that works well?

I'm going to try and remember the chalk board paint so that I can paint the outside of Brody's closet door in another year or two! I think that would be fun for him to draw on. As long as he doesn't get it confused with the walls!!

I'm jealous that you have a pantry! I don't and am always SO pressed for storage space in the kitchen. I've had to resort to plastic tupperware bins in the garage for my extra non-perishable and canned goods. ;)
I just love having things neat and organized. I truly wish I could take a whole week or two and do nothing but organize! There are so many areas in my house that I just can't ever seem to get to.
I spied my favorite taco seasoning in your newly organized pantry. ;) I love the Taco Bell seasoning. I think it's the best by far and when I couldn't get it in my grocery after I had moved, I would stock up when I went home to visit my parents or have my mom mail packets to me. I don't know what makes it so different, but I can hardly use any other kind now!

OH, I covet your nice deep pantry. Mine is only 12 inches deep and I can't fit my mixer in it. Do you hire out your organizational skills? I really could use some straightening in my kitchen.

I spent the whole day cleaning my college daughter's room yesterday. Washed walls, windows, baseboards, everything. I want to make it into my own space/crafting room yet I can't bring myself to move her furniture out. I guess I'll just work around the furniture for now.
I am so going to have to do that to my door when I have a home!
i LOVE clean. and now i want to chalkboard the inside of a door! i do not love the chalkboard look for the exterior, but having it tucked away inside serves a purpose. i love it!

Why is it we put off jobs that really don't take much time once we get started? Your pantry looks great and it's easier to see what you have when you're trying to figure out What's for dinner? LOL
