A Couple of Tags and a Project To Be

First of all, I want to thank everyone who has ever given me an award. I truly appreciate them and love getting them. I will always add them to my sidebar. Thank you! I have been tagged lately to do a few things that I have never done before so I thought I would do them today.

Joanna from This Southern Girl's Nest tagged me for a picture challenge. I am supposed to post the 6th picture from my 6th file. It is not a very interesting picture. :) It was a picture of a bird's nest on my porch that I fought with all spring.

Also, A Hint of Home tagged me to:

We've been 'fighting' a bird's nest in the tree, right off the front porch. They like to come up under the porch as well. What did you guys do, if anything?

Looking foward to seeing the finished product on your project! :)

It's funny that is the picture for the tag. We have some birds (not sure if it's the same mama/daddy birds every year or the babies that were born the previous year) that build a nest outside our front door, right on the bricks like that. The first year, we ended up knocking it down after they flew the coop, but they just rebuilt it the next year, so now we leave it up and they add to it a little every spring.

It's annoying because of all the bird droppings that end up on our sidewalk and it's also a little scary to go in and out our front door because they get a bit territorial. Yet, it's also so amazing to watch them work and see their newborn bird babies every year and sometimes we even witness their first flights.

Whew, bet you never dreamed you'd get such a long comment about THAT! :)

I've got a tutorial over at my place that uses a cute free font to make adorable banners for any holiday of the year.
Have a great day!

Oh, oh, oh! I just bought some of that tea-stained scenic fabric at HL. It's draped over a chair in the family room - I'm staring at it wondering how I'll use it. Will be delighted to see what YOU do with it!!! Isn't it handsome?
