Christmas Dining Room

Continuing with the Christmas pictures, I thought I would show you the dining room. This room gets so much light that it is hard to photograph, so some pics are with the flash and some are without.
Why are centerpieces so hard for me!? I never know what to do on my tables. This year I used a runner from Oops and put some things that I already had. I wanted to do two big reindeer but never found any that I liked (or could afford!).
These sconces usually get some greenery during the fall and Christmas. This year I added the large ornaments.
I love this little nativity. In 2005 my family went to Hawaii the week before Christmas and my mom, Katie and I got one of these coconut nativities. They were having major craft fairs that week and these are made out of different parts of the coconut.
I usually put these candle rings on the back of the chairs but this year I added the stockings to the arm chairs. They are not as lime green as the picture shows.
I have just been loving seeing all of your Christmas decorations! It is so inspiring!
I hope to catch up on my comments today.

I love the snow-covered evergreens! I also like how you sort of scrunched your table runner up instead of having it lay flat. That looks good. I would have never thought to do it that way.

I love the coconut nativity! I was in Kauai a few years ago, over the summer. I would have definitely picked one of these up had I been there at the right time! So cute!

Your dining room looks great! I think I've given up on centerpieces. We eat in our dining room every night so I get tired of moving the stuff back and forth off the table!

The nativity is so darling - I love it! For the most part, I've always been content with the one nativity I put out - Precious Moments pieces I got as a present from my mom years ago. But this year I've been drawn to several more, and would love something like that.

I think your centerpiece looks great as is. The greens pop nicely on the red runner and the dark walls. Plus, my policy is that every room must have a tree of some sort, no matter how small or large, in it. :)

You did a great job..I love the sconces! At first I thought your runner was a scarf...and I thought..What a great idea!!! Even though I know its a runner, I still think the scarf is a neat idea!
I used two cloth napkins on my table (might have to run out and get a scarf though;-) I am slowly getting decorated. I am going to do a tree in my kitchen too...try to use "foodie" items. I'll post pics soon!
