Kitchen Ready For Fall

I'm glad so many of you have entered for the giveaway. If you haven't, be sure to click here. It seems to be the consensus that DH means "Dear Husband" or "Darling Husband". For some reason whenever I saw it, in my head I said, "Devoted Husband". So I guess it is whatever you want it to be in your head!

Also, Bloglines is a way for you to see if your favorite blogs have been updated. Click here to get started. I keep the page in my favorites so I just have one click and can see a list of my blogs. If the blog name is in bold then I know it has been updated. So quick and easy! You don't have to go to all your blogs 100 times a day to see if they have been updated. It has saved me a lot of time.

I will now apologize in advance for the quality of these pictures. I just can't get it right. So some of them are dark and some might be really bright. Here are some pics of my kitchen ready for fall.

I got this pumpkin "man" at my favorite real store (as opposed to Oops) the first year we moved here and it is probably my favorite fall piece. As I was looking at it this morning I realized it would be pretty easy to make with a regular pumpkin. Or if you were really crafty you could paper mache your own.
I know several of you wait to put out Halloween type decor until at least October but I just go ahead and mix mine right in. I'm not sure Zach could be any cuter.

My favorite fall candle is from Oops and was only $2. I tied some ribbon on a pitcher to add some color to it. I got that in Florida at Old Time Pottery. Let me tell you, you are really lucky if you live near one of those stores! It is great! That pitcher was only $4.99.

This is one of those dark pictures. I usually keep a seasonal platter in this corner.
I got this "Blessings" sign at a local craft fair a couple of years ago and keep it up year round. It ties in with the colors of our house so I don't feel bad leaving it up. But it looks especially good during the fall months.
My favorite part about fall? The candy! We don't like candy corn so that is just for decoration and for guests who like it, but that Treat jar will be gone in less than a week. Guaranteed.
This is the top of the china cabinet in our kitchen.
I wanted to keep the inside of the cabinet pretty simple so I just added some small pumpkins and pine cones.

We were so young looking in that picture! I think that was my 21st birthday. We weren't even engaged yet.

I've really been inspired by some of you who make things for the seasons. I will probably try some more of that next year. Right now I have store bought accessories that I try to mix in with my current ones but I am liking the natural looking things that you are making. That is why I love blogging!! It reminds me that there is always room for improvement and new ideas.

We have a wedding to go to this weekend but I will try to post more fall pictures Sunday night. Have a great weekend!

Everything looks great. I love the pumpkin in your first photo - he's adorable (so is Zach).

I didn't like candy corn either until I mixed it with peanuts - tastes like a Baby Ruth.

Have fun at the wedding.

It is all very cute! Fall is one of my favorite times of the year in Ohio, warm days cool nights! Texas however is still in the low 90's.....hard to think of fall just yet, I am trying though.

O.K., I'd like to know what day and time you are coming to my house to decorate for fall?! I really love everything you have done and can't wait to see more!

Yea - the Nester loves you and so do I!! I have got to get started with Bloglines. With my new self imposed time limit, I am wasting time checking to see if people have posted...will do that this week, and of course, you will be there. I also need to update my side bar with yours. I haven't added anyone since the first day I set up my blog back in July. :)

Love the fall decorations. I'm working on mine. As much as I love fall, with all it's beauty I am reminded that winter is around the corner. Last year it was looooong.

I don't know how to get those letters off the comment space on our blog. When we started our blog it was just that way. I don't care for them or typing in your blog name and password. I like how yours is set up. Twin and I have A LOT to learn!!

Have a happy weekend.

Your fall decorations are so pretty and nicely displayed! We don't celebrate Halloween at all, but we do love fall - our daughter was born in the fall and we chose fall for our wedding date - almost 17 years ago! It's a lovely time to be sure!

Everything is so pretty!! I LOOOOOVE those vintage jack-o-lanterns! I have a few and it's so hard for me to walk away from them. I actually DID a few days ago when I was at Marshall's though. Now I want to go back and get it! lol

Try Indian Corn instead of regular candy corn. It's chocolate! Yummy!

Isn't Old Time Pottery fun? I don't have one close to me, but when I visit my mom in Orlando, it's one of the first places I drag her!

I am one of the lucky ones to be by Old Time Pottery. Spent time there on Sat. and got things for my mantle.
Have a goog week.

It looks so cozy at your house. I love your display above the China cabinet. You've got my wheels turning. I would love to do something like that on my entertainment center. I really wish we had your stores. I feel limited to what I can buy. We basically have Hobby Lobby, Ross and Marshalls.

Looooooooooove your stuff. Thanks for taking the time to take and post the beautiful pics.
Well, I subscribed to bloglines. Is it supposed to email me with new posts? I don't know how to use it. I put 46 different blogsites in it. Then I went to the bloglines website and all I could do was to click on the ones I put in there. I know I am missing out on something. Melanie
