Fall Dining Room

We have been having the best weather. Ever since Ike made his way past us, we have had fall-like temperatures. It has been in the 40's in the morning and only warming up to the low 70's. It has been so nice. Here are a few pictures our our dining room.

I always have trouble with a centerpiece for this table. At Christmas, it is even worse. Why are they so hard? They have to be the just the right size and height and that can make things complicated for me! :)
For this one, I took a wicker leaf shaped "tray" and piled on pumpkins and a fall pick and topped it with my wire bird cloche.
I tied a fall pick on these candleholders and will put Christmas greenery on them in December.

I also snapped a few pictures of our office. I didn't do too much in here.

I couldn't pass up this little pumpkin man from Hobby Lobby. They had a few vintage looking pieces up by the register the other day. It was only a small selection and when I went back a few days later it was gone. It looks bright in this picture but it really isn't. Well, that wraps up the fall tour.

Cody's parents are coming to stay this weekend and I will be keeping Zach Friday through Saturday. So I probably won't be on here too much. I will be shopping so I will be sure to show you our finds from Oops! Have a great weekend!

Cute cute cute! And the centerpiece looks great.

I always have trouble doing my centerpiece too. I'm never happy, so I usually end up doing nothing, just my "non-seasonal" generic decoration. Blah!

Everything looks so nice. I don't have many decorations for the different seasons yet but am working on creating a stash of them!

It looks good.. The dining room table is hard to do!! I haven't done much decorating...so no need for pics. I need to shop for more stuff..but I can't seem to justify spending the money just yet!

I have the hardest time with my dining room table too. It seems silly to place something tall in the center b/c you can't see the person across from you. But visually it seems off with something small. I keep changing my centerpiece around. Hopefully I'll have it just right by the time Thanksgiving rolls around.

All your fall decor looks just right. I love the way you decorate. You find the perfect place for things. :-)

I think you did a great job with the centerpiece but you're right. Too big & you can't see, too little & it looks blah.

Have fun shopping at Oops & let us see your finds.

I needed to see your dining room table ideas! I keep trying different things on mine, and nothing is working...but your ideas could! Hope you don't mind if it is re-created in Michigan! I also liked the idea of framing something from scrapbook paper. I had some frames with outdated pictures, I just shoved in a drawer...so I am swiping that idea too. From this former nanny now a mom- Thanks.

The decorations look great! I know a lot of people don;t think about it but don;t let the little one play with any of the decorations because they can be tainted with lead. I don;t mean to be a downer I just worry about the little ones.

Your pumpkins are so cute, all over your house. You are good at finding ones that look vintage and cute, rather than garish and fake. I love your pumpkin man! I was a Hobby Lobby today and didn't see him, or I might have had to snatch him up too! :)
