Baby Shower

This weekend we had a baby shower at my house for Desty. She is one of five girls in our Sunday School who are pregnant!

The baby's initials on a little chalkboard with pink roses.
I was able to use the snack plates I have been collecting. It worked out great. I decided not to mix the designs this time and just went with this feminine pattern.

I love these little bird vases I got at Oops. Would you believe they were .80 each? I saw these on someone's blog for $39.99 for five!!
Here are the cute cupcakes.
All the food
All the hostesses, minus one. Joni, Abby, me, Katie, Heather and Jennifer.

Pam, Jill and Abby
Stacy and Joni
Desty is due in 3 weeks!
Lauren, Jennifer and Heather. Jennifer is having her baby boy this week! We are really excited!

What a beautiful table! I actually helped to host a baby shower for my friend/running partner this weekend too, and ALSO got out my vintage snack plates- same exact ones ( : Great minds think alike.

I don't have all the matching glasses for that set yet, (I'm still on the prowl for those) but I mixed and matched a few of the other cup sets and it looked good still- I don't think anyone but me noticed ( :

Loved the baby pink roses, too!

The shower looks so cute! COngrats to the 2 moms there. And girl...when will you begin being a personal oops shopper for the blog world?

Jennifer said...

I have just recently found your blog and have so enjoyed reading past posts - catching up and enjoying all the beautiful pictures of your home.

The baby shower pictures and ideas were terrific. I am hosting a shower for my dearest friend in a few weeks. Since it is her third, I was going to concentrate of "celebrating mom" and wanted a pretty, feminine theme (instead of strictly baby) and your roses and crystal are lovely!!

So enjoy your blog...will be back often.
