Shopping Weekend

Cody's parents came up this weekend so his mom and I did what we do best, shop. My mission: find some stuff to fill up my TV cabinet. Mission: UN-accomplished. But I did find some cute things for around the house. This black and white plate is from TJMaxx. You can always find cute plates there. I needed a new rug to go by our shower and found the perfect one at Kirklands.
Remember that soup tureen from Oops? I went back several times to buy it but they never had it. I found it this time...only $6.25.
This great fall wreath is from TJMaxx. They had so much cute fall stuff this year. Usually they don't have a big selection but there were two aisles of it! This wreath is so full and was only $14.00.
I got this fall "greenery" thing at my favorite real store, The Gift House. They make the cutest things to just lay around.
This cute little ceramic pumpkin was only .65 at Oops.
Don't tell my mom it has this on one side. She hates Halloween decor!
Stay tuned for a project involving these. I got them for a dollar each at Oops. I'm really excited about these. I hope it turns out!
Still on the hunt for things to fill up my TV cabinet. I did order a sign from Nestlings on Etsy for the top shelf so I will show you when it is all finished. I hope ya'll had a great weekend too!

Great deals, Shannon...all except for the pumpkin..I have to agree w/ your mom..We are totally against Halloween. Sorry, I still will be your "bloggy" friend though ;-)
I really liked the black and white plate. I love those colors, but don't have anywhere in my house w/ that.

All very cute things. I'll have to go check out a few of those stores when I get to SC.

I'm with your mom on the Halloween thing too - drives my kids nuts.

Cute stuff - I love T J Maxx! I also love fall stuff!!! I think I'm ready to start decorating! I won't be able to do much Christmas decorating with the baby almost here so I think I'll do more for fall! I can't wait to see what you do at Christmas!

You always get the best things!

I like the pumpkin. I love Halloween. I know some Christians don't but I grew up with it and always have enjoyed the make belive part of it. I figure one can make it to be a fun children's holiday or an evil one. I go for the fun.

Hugs,
Joanne

GREAT deals! I have that same plate from TJ Maxx. Last time I was there they had enough for a service for 12 and I *almost* bought all of them. I wish I had! Looks like you are ready for fall! Can't wait to see what you are making!

Love the plate! Love TJ Maxx! Love the wreath! I love fall. My hubby's family is like that with Halloween, but I grew up with it being about fun and imagination. So, keep it sweet, not evil. Carving pumpkins is my favorite family night tradition before Halloween. Besides, candy is my best friend! Not my hip's friend though!

Hi Shannon,

Love all of the cute items you picked up. Can't wait to see what you do with the crystals.

Halloween is not my favorite holiday. I would just keep the pumpkin turned around in my too!

Oh wow, I absolutely LOVE the soup tureen! It's beautiful.

Oh and the pumpkin could be spray painted, right? We never had any Halloween decor growing up and I still can't really bring myself to buy it but I LOVE the white pumpkins or other white & black items!

I love all your finds...fall decorations are my favorite. I think I'm gonna go ahead and decorate. I'm having a Welcome Back dinner, for the program I work for, at my house on Wednesday and since we are starting the "Fall Semester" I think it fits.

What a fun blog! I should go shopping with you--you seem to find the coolest things!

That plate is to die for!
I totally disagree with some of these commenters. I love halloween, simply because it is for children. They enjoy the costumes and decorations and candy and parading around intheir costumes. I don't even think about the pagan aspect of it. Some people put too much thought into everything. It can be just fun. I love your double-duty pumpkin!
And the soup tureen1 I wish we had OOPS around here!!!! At least, I have you and the web site...

Love all of the beautiful fall deals. Fall is my favorite time of year and it is always so late to arrive in GA.

It is always hard to think about fall while the heat is so unbearable.

You got some great stuff. Love the plate, and the wreath.

I like to decorate for fall....not necessarily Halloween. I do add some kid friendly pumpkins & scarecrows outside. I try to stick to more of the 'harvest' side of fall decor. I am always torn about the Halloween issue. I see it like some of the others, it's a holiday for kids & imagination. It's only evil if you think of it that way.

I think you found some great stuff. I want to go to Oops!!! We have a TJMaxx here in our town and it is one of my favorite places too. I hardly ever come out empty handed.
