Lazy Sunday Afternoon

After church on Sunday I decided to find a place for some of my new purchases and re-arrange a little. Here is that little cloche I got on Saturday. The egg came with it so I need to find a little nest to put it in.

I have been wanting to re-arrange this china cabinet in our kitchen for a while. I felt like things were getting lost in it so decided to add several white pieces.
I re-arranged my beside table so I could put the brown and white plate that I bought on it.
I haven't decide if it is going to stay here, that is why it still has the plate hanger on it.
This dried lavender smells so good. I tied some raffia on it and placed it by this candle. These faux mercury glasses were actually at Oops for (I think) 80 cents each. I bought several but dropped a votive in this one. It is very pretty lit but didn't photograph well.
Do ya'll re-arrange as often as I do? I feel like nothing stays the same for long and I like it that way.

I love your arrangements. I am on the hunt for cloche's and nests....I just love the way they look.

YES! My stuff is always in constant rotation!! It's funny because when I find a new location for something, I usually think...Wow, I like that there, and this is where it should stay... Then, shortly thereafter, it is moved to a new home where I, once again, run my mind over that same thought!

I rearrange often as well. Love the new stuff~

I love the little cloche you found. Those red books on the last pic are pretty. My husband always tells me things look great and if I would leave things alone I would have so much free time...so yes I fiddle all the time.

Oh yes...I'm CONSTANTLY rearranging! My hubby never expects to see anything in the same place once he gets home from work in the evening!

Our bedroom paint looks to be the same color. I love the brown!!
Your cloche is wonderful.

We have bunches of dried lavender that I brought home from the Lavender Festival we attended in WA. Smells sooooo good!!!

I love all of your ideas and I definitely need an Oops store! I am green with envy!!

I too move things day to day. When you stay at home all day it keeps it fresh... when you keep moving stuff it gives us more to look at and post about!...smiles... Susie h~

You are so good at the details & placement! I need to set up a game on my blog...pin the accessory on place it needs to be in The Hancock House!

I sure do! I tell people, my house is never the same place twice! I am constantly rearranging!

I am ALWAYS moving stuff around. Like our front livingroom. I think I have changed it (drastically) like oh, 4 times in the past year. Same with our bedroom. Drive my hubby nuts.

I just made a post about my desire to change something in my house. Maybe I'll move this and that around until I can do something else.

Love what you did. Simple, yet still beautiful.

You are such a good little decorator. I love that plate, and the lavender. I really, really want to plant some lavender in my yard so I can dry it like that. Cute, cute, cute, you've done a great job!

I am forever changing something. Drives my husband nuts but hey, sometimes that's the only way things get cleaned well. (hehe)

The new stuff looks good.

I DO rearrange a lot. Sometimes though I get something I really love and I don't want to change a thing for a very long time.

I love the cloche you found! My BFF is on the hunt for them now. :o) They are addicting!

Everything looks great! Also love the new mantle!

Hey Shannon!
I love to rearrange...at times I feel in a rut and will just buy something new. Does that qualify for rearranging?? You have a knack for it. Why didn't you decide to go into interior design? Maybe you can do a post...although I am in that boat as well. I have a degree in Communications and I clean houses...go figure!?!

You are KILLING me with the Oops deals!! Argh!! And, your nightstand looks so pretty--mine is a mess of magazines and a big thing of water.

I need to dry some of the lavender from my garden this year...I should google it!

No, I don't rearrange often..I am not great w/ change and I think I lack in the creative decorating dept...but my house is decorated, but simply done. Plus I don't have a lot of stuff. I also don't have cool stores near me like Oops or Hobby Lobby. But, I guess it saves us money..
I love getting ideas from you though ;-)

I am so bad about re-arrangeing! Although, I am getting much better by looking at snazzy blogs, such as yourself. Gotta go move some stuff and see who notices!!

You do such a nice job of arranging your things. I rearrange all the time. It's just fun to put something in a new place. After I move things around though I often find that I need to replace what was there. You know what that means... going shopping!

I love how you have the books stacked up with the lamp on them. I do that a lot. I also change things around constantly. My husband thinks I'm sick. I keep telling him I'm trying to find the perfect spot for things. Will you testify on my behalf if he has me locked up?

It all looks great you did a great job. I'm with everyone else I rearrange all the time. I saw a set of three glass cloche's like yours but for some reason I did not feel like buying anything that day. Weird very weird.

Your rearranging looks beautiful! And, yes, rearranging is one of my many decorating addictions.

This post tickled me. I should've known your idea of a "lazy Sunday afternoon" would consist of decorating or rearranging. Where mine consist of a nap! ha. Everything looks great...but it looked great before too!

Shannon,
Thanks for the tip! I'm still learning my way through this so I will give that a try the next time.

Fun post1 You do such a nice job with your rearranging. Very pretty.

That little glass you found at Oops? They're from Pier 1. I bought 8 of them in different colors and use them as casual wine glasses. Love them! I think they were $8 each. Great find!

Hey Shannon, just wanted to mention that I totally agree with you about the comment you left on my birthday doctor visit, I'd so rather be there than in the dentist chair!

I can't remember how I came across your blog, but I found pictures of an apartment in Paris, France that I thought you might find of interest. Click here to view them.

Amazingly, they've put all of this into a 100m^2 apartment... which (according to this site) is about 1076 sq. ft.

Let me know what you think!
