Fly Those Flags

In honor of the 4th of July, Kari and Kijsa are hosting a "Fabulous Flag Flying Fourth" party and everyone is invited!

The Fourth of July is becoming one of my favorite holidays. I think because it has always been so fun. Ever since I can remember we have gone to my grandparent's house near Lake Ouchita in Hot Springs and spent a few days on the lake.
At night we all gather on the balcony and watch a fireworks "show" that is usually put on by my cousin or brother.
Oh, it is also fun because we usually celebrate my birthday that is a few days later.
I have really started to like decorating for the Fourth too but neat decorations are hard to come by. I should probably just get crafty and make some stuff but I like to shop too!
I hope everyone has a Fabulous Fourth and don't forget to fly those flags! I can't wait to see all the people who link up with Kari and Kijsa to show off their flags. Head on over there for some inspiration. We will be going to the lake tomorrow so see you next week!

Love the 4th of July post! I've got to do some errands and will be getting a few flag to make it festive around here. Is the name of the place really OOPS? We used to have a place like that near my parents, but it closed last year. Wish we had something like that close Arkansas is a little far for this girl to travel right now. Have a great 4th!

Hey Shannon!

First time stopper-by and I have only had the chance to glance through your pics and I must say i adore your craftiness (you inspired me to go to Hobby Lobby this morning!) I have been in such a creative funk lately & haven't desired to decorate or rearrange or create anything! Hopefully, by checking in on you often, that will change!!

I have to ask how the Kelly Minter study is going? Kelly comes & does guest worship at our church & she is amazing!! She is a beautiful spirit and has a great heart for Jesus...I love Beth's blog. We are doing the Psalms of the Ascent this summer and so far, I stand in awe - amazed at how God really DOES meet you wherever you are.

Hugs & Happy 4th of July!!

Very nice display. The 4th snuck up on me and I'm a teacher. No excuse, except I want the 4th to be latter since we go back to school on 8-11. Yikes.

Love your Americana pics. Hope your 4th is fun and happy.

I love the little solider and flag in your pot. Your'e right, sometimes it is hard to find the decorations. I hand painted some of mine and you have to just be in the right place at the right time to find the cute things.

Thanks for stopping by my blog Sharon! And for your sweet comments. I love your blog background thingy, I'm so jealous of everyone with their great personality style backgrounds and me with the plain Jane version but I can't seem to get my techno-college student to spend 5 minutes with his mom to help her out! LOL KIDS, what can you do with them? Love 'em I guess. All that to say your blog is darling and I've been reading it for quite awhile now. Have a blessed week!

WOW, your blog is leaving me homesick. My great-grandfather surveyed Lake Ouachita and Blakely Dam. I grew up in south Hot Springs and the Lake Hamilton area. I miss it soooooooooooooo much.

I saw your tv and cabinet and may be interested. We go to church at Fellowship church in Lowell and that is on our way to Fayetteville. Would it be possible to look at it tomorrow? I realize that you may get this too late to respond before we leave for church in the morning.
