Yellow Challenge

I am usually drawn to the color yellow for my home. It is so warm and inviting but can also be so fun and fresh. This is my first time participating in Angela's monthly color challenge. It was fun. If you want to participate you have until tomorrow night. Here are some pictures of my favorite yellow things around my house.
I love these yellow floral linens. I've had them for awhile and have never gotten tired of them.
My all time favorite paint color: Pratt and Lambert Peanut Shell. I also love the soft yellow tones of this watercolor my grandmother gave me.
I love these silk drapes against the chocolate walls.
Can you ever have enough kitchen towels? They are so fun!
Unfortunately I'm not known for keeping my plants alive. That is why I love these fake yellow flowers from Oops.

What are your favorite things around your house that are yellow?

Shannon - where did you get that chocolate paint??? That is the color I want to use in one of our rooms! (I love it with the yellow!)

Very pretty! I don't think I have anything yellow in my entire house! My grandma always told me "yellow makes you looks sallow!" so I stayed away from it. I had no idea what she was talking about but I trusted her. lol

Hi Shannon
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and taking the time to leave a comment! I am so glad that you did because now I have found your blog and I think we have similar taste!! I'll be definately back!!

Actually, after reading some of your posts, I noticed that we have the same china and you have the same curtains that I just posted about on my blog. Funny, I think your hubbie also looks like mine in his "early years" (he turned 38 yesterday)!! LOL!! You, however, are waaaaaay cuter than I am!! LOL!!

Anyway, I am glad you liked the entertainment unit. I can totally relate to the "big TV" debate as it occured at our house on Boxing Day last year. They are such a "guy thing", aren't they??? I don't get it.

Anyway, I live in Canada and bought the shelving/TV holder at Zehrs which is a grocery store. I am sure that you could find something similar in your area!!

Allison, the paint is Mud Slide from Lowes. I think it is just their American Tradition brand. Thanks!

Beautiful blog!
I love your chocolate walls ... I just did our mud room in that color and used light blue accents. The yellow plaid looks great! I'll be visiting again!
