Frame It

One of the things I like to do is frame things that are not pictures. I think it adds a little interest and an unexpected surprise. Here are a few things I have framed around the house. What is something special and meaningful that you could frame?
Here is our monogram.
Our wedding invitation is framed and in our china cabinet.
This is one of my favorites. It is our initials that Cody carved into a tree when we were dating.
Our rehearsal dinner invitation hangs in our hallway.
This is a small copy of our marriage license. The county clerk gave it to me to keep in my wallet until I could have my last name changed on my drivers license and credit cards.
This is also very special to me. My mom wrote me a poem and gave it to me the day before I got married. She framed it and this probably where I got the inspiration to frame things that are meaningful to me. I'd love to hear some things that you have framed.

Handwritten notes are always nice in frames. I have some written by my grandmother. Where do you purchase such lovely frames?

I've taken to framing some of my kids scribbles. They're sweet and it's nice to preserve those little chicken scratches. I just posted about a great haul that I got at a garage sale this morning. Part of that haul is a bunch of new frames. I was planning to put some of the kids stuff in them.
Happy Friday!

When I was cleaning out my office today, I found some brand new black pic. frames. I found some pictures that I had saved to frame and I used one of them. I was so excited to find the frames! They've been in there for 10 months!
What I love to frame is the artwork from my children. I have a couple hanging in their play room and I need to do more. Frames are very expensive though!
I am glad you showed us your wedding invitation. I have wanted to frame ours, but didn't know where to put it.. The china cabinet it will go now!

The initials on the tree is so sweet! I have a few "old" keys framed in my dining room. My best friend did that, though. I can't take the credit!

I'm just beginning to plan how I want to decorate my Master Bedroom. Knowing where to start is always the hardest part. I'm on a mission to find inspiration today and surfing through your blog this morning has been so much fun.

I have letters to my grandma from my grandpa when they were 'courting".
A letter from my favorite author, Kathryn Tucker Windham.
"masterpiece" paintings my kids did
a school prooject that my youngest son did in kindergarden, he made a fmaily tree and drew our fmaily photos on the branches. He misspelled some of names. I love it.
3 poems my husband gave me YEARS ago.
footprints of my dog
like you a wedding invite
a 4 leaf clover my son found for me.
notes from my children.
concert tickets (but you could do plane tickets, ballet, a show, ect.)
menus from our favorite restaurants are framed in the kitchen.

Those are some I can think of right away.
